The days are growing closer for Nissan’s reveal of the heavily revised second generation Titan pickup truck.->ke242 Though Nissan->ke62 hasn’t announced a specific date or event at which the new Titan will bow, we suspect it will be early in 2015. Nevertheless, the automaker is drumming up awareness with a series of short videos showcasing the Titan’s development and the team of people behind it.

Nissan is calling the video series the “Truckumentary” as somewhat cheesy play on words. “The ’Truckumentary is not meant to be the all-encompassing last word on Titan," said Rich Miller, Nissan’s Director of Product Planning for trucks->ke1311 and SUVs. "Rather it’s the continuing story of the vehicle’s evolution, accompanied by a close look at the American-based team that is bringing this all-new truck to market."

The mini-series of videos will have more than a dozen episodes set to debut throughout 2015, with the first video debuting in mid-December. The teaser video above gives a taste of what we can expect; sappy -- err -- heartwarming stories, mud-covered->ke4846 trucks, trailer towing, developmental testing, and some truck information scattered between.

TopSpeed will bring you the videos as they come, so stay tuned.

Nissan Titan

The Nissan Titan is now an aging truck, having only been mildly, and I mean mildly refreshed over the years since its debut in 2004. That’s all about to change for 2016 as the truck enters its second generation. Perhaps the biggest news surrounds Nissan’s partnership with famed diesel builder Cummins. The new Titan is slated to get a 5.0-liter, Cummins, V-8 turbo-diesel despite the truck only being classified as a half ton. Currently Ram is the only other truck maker that offers a diesel in its half tons.

We suspect the 5.6-liter V-8 gasoline engine will return as well. Otherwise, we expect plenty of updates to the interior and its already plain to see the exterior is getting a nice makeover.
