The Nurburgring is one of the world’s oldest and most storied race tracks. Over the decades, millions of miles have been clocked on the "Green Hell," and in that time hundreds of cars have been sacrificed to the German track.

Lets start the day by taking a look back at some of the oldest crashes recorded by camera on the Nordschleife, all filmed in 1970.

Now if you think that sounds like a pretty terrible way to start your morning, don’t worry. Thanks to a heavy dose of Benny Hill music, and the relatively low speed that most of the single-car collisions take place at, there is very little here to depress you or ruin your first cup of coffee.

Its just a bunch of cool old cars from BMW, Volkswagenand more falling over, sliding around corners, and generally causing chaos with the funniest background music you can think of.

Click that play button and prepare for seven minutes of laughter and racing history.
