Being that Porsche has successfully created the most powerful street-legal model Porsche has ever built in the form of the GT2 RS, the guys over at AutoCar decided to put this beast to the test alongside one of its more standard brothers: the Carrera.

To figure out that the GT2 RS is faster and more powerful than the Carrera is a no brainer. It pushes out 620hp, and pushes it out quickly with a 0-60mph time of just 3.5 seconds. Stand that next to the Carrera’s 345hp and 0-60mph time of 4.7 seconds, and you begin to question why the heck this comparison was even done. But there is actually a reason behind this seemingly simple comparison. Sure, the GT2 RS is faster, but is it fast enough and powerful enough to substantiate the gargantuan price difference of $100,000 between it and the Carrera? Check out the video and find out!

Well, i’m happy for those who is satisfied with the GTR but Porsche has come up with other new thing ( except for the speed ) to offer with their current models.

In the video, the GT2 RS does the 0-100km/h in just 3.7 seconds while the Carrera S doesn’t achieve it for a entire second later, doing it in 4.7 seconds.

To find that out, the Brits from Autocar have compared the Porsche 911 GT2 RS vs the Porsche Carrera in an acceleration and braking test, plus a race around a test track.

Just as a quick reminder the 911 GT2 RS is the fastest and most powerful car Porsche have ever made with its 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder boxer engine producing a mammoth 620 horsepower

wow twin brothers come head to head on track, this challenge is kinda interesting to watch, you can see how much improvement does the gt2 has.

That "850 hp" 9ff makes its power on Euro 98, which is quite a bit better than the domestic 93 (which is usually 10-15% ethanol and other fillers, these days).

A GTR is hardly a driver’s car. The fun factor comes from slamming the foot onto the accelerator. Don’t even compare a GTR to a true driver’s car. 6 speed manual on a 620+hp car? That’s called no compromise.

what an interesting match. both porsche looks like the twin brother is showing whos the best porsche car ever. and the gT2 RS is the perfection and enhanced version of carrera and there is no doubt that gt2 can smoke the carrera.
