Video: Porsche 911 GT3 RS testing at the Nurburgring

In the world of high-performance sports cars you can never have enough. There is no such thing as enough power, enough handling and enough speed. The German backwards engineered sports car maker Porsche knows this all too well. That is exactly why they are always refining their vehicles, like this GT3 RS seen lapping the ‘Ring.

Continued after the jump.

Based on the current 2010 GT3 the rennsport version features a modified 3.8 Liter flat six producing 429 HP. The RS comes with ceramic brakes, adjustable dampers, a huge down force inducing rear wing and numerous other composite pieces to keep the weight down and make this rear engined vehicle handle like it is on rails. Some prefer the ridiculously powerful turbocharged GT2, but to them I say there is just something beautiful about a naturally aspirated vehicle that makes over 100 horsepower per liter.

Hey dont’ forget their arch rival the GT-R record. I think before they beat the vette’s or viper’s record they have to deal with the GT-R first.

Porsche will never stop until it gets what it expected to get the Nurburgring respect. That is if they they can exclipse the record of the Vette and the Viper in the future.
