The past few weeks have been a blur of spy shots and teaser images for the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder, in prototype form anyway. Porsche->ke1 even released official images of their cool 918 Spyder prototype in Martini Racing livery, but since the official debut for the production model isn't going to happen until late in 2013 (supposedly), hopes for production model images are not as high as we would like them to be.

Then there's Youtube user liquidsk8s who claims to have a video of the first production ready 918 Spyder during an event hosted for its release at Canoe Studios. We are a little skeptical about this being the final production model, especially since the video even states that "Up until this point the exhaust had been on the sides." The car shown is also different than the ones we have seen in the spy shots, with the exhaust pipes on the engine cover, new side air intakes, exterior mirrors, and door handles. The car also has the same set of wheels as the concept car had, which is a very unlikely move for Porsche.

Give us your thoughts! Is this the production 918 Spyder or just another prototype? Hit us up in the comments section below!
