Video: Skiing...with a Reiter-tuned Lamborghini Gallardo

Be honest. Have you, in your wildest imagination, ever thought that something like a Lamborghini Gallardo could be used as a really high-powered – not to mention expensive – set of skis?

If you said ‘not in a million years’, then you probably fall under the majority of people who would say the same thing.

While it’s comforting to know that a lot of people agree with you, you’re also wrong.

Taking your supercar out on a ski run and drive it at high speeds up and down is looking like the next ’it’ thing to do. Just ask the folks over at Reiter Engineering what they did with custom Gallardo. And if you’re having problems imagining the whole image of a skiing supercar, then we invite you to check the video and look the same way those baffled skiers looked when they saw a high-powered supercar skiing up and down some pretty steep snowy hills.

Well, you got a point but hearing the sound of the Gallardo, I think its having a hard time to run in the snowy road. It sounded different when it runs in a race track, I haven’t hear the operatic sound.

Same thought goes in my mind..What kind of tires that they have used in this experiment. And i think trying to make the Gallardo run in the snow is the best place to test its reliability.

Isn’t the tire they used here is the same tire as they used in rally races? I wonder if a gallardo is used in WRC will it perform well on dirt rather perform on tarmac or in a concrete?

well all-wheel-drive is is kinda fun to drive on snow ain’t it? plus they installed a spiked tires to add more grip.

well this is a good place to make fun with gallardo, you don’t have to worry about tight curves. putting the pedal to the metal is enough.
