This video was taken last weekend during the 1000 km of Spa, part of the 2009 Le Mans Series. The homologated road version, the Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 is powered by a 4.2 Liter V8 producing 400 HP and the engine is mated to a manual six-speed Getrag gearbox. Perfect for taking down Porsches, Lamborghinis and even a few Ferraris.

On my part I want to see with its 400 hp how it will take down the Porsche or a Ferrari.

I would like to see the performance of the street car version. And compare its performance when it comes to confidence driving in public.

For sure this Le Mans made car will surely hit the endurance race track as it always do, the only question is, will it make it this time and steal the podium?

In fact the C8 Laviolette has the 400 PS (290 kW) Audi engine. The Laviolette has a glass canopy. The C8 Double 12R is a version made specifically for the 24 hours of Le Mans also using the Audi V8 engine with 480 PS (353 kW) and the C8 Double 12S is the street version of this car which has the same glass canopy of the Laviolette and optionally has a 600 PS (440 kW) engine instead of the 400 PS (290 kW) engine from the C8 spyder, giving it a top speed between 300 km/h (186 mph) and 345 km/h (214 mph) depending on the engine.
