Yesterday, Marchettino was kind enough to bring us a video showing the Aston Martin CC100 Speedster revving its engine. Today, he followed that up by bringing a video of the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera doing the same at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.

If you are wondering why the Disco Volante has such a great engine sound, the answer is pretty easy: it's based on the 8C Competizione->ke1431 which comes with a tremendous 4.7 liter V-8 engine. The engine delivers a total of 450 horsepower and is coupled with a six-speed sequential transaxle gearbox with electronic control and paddle-shift gear selection.

This amount of power is enough to sprint the Disco Volante from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds and up to a top speed of about 181 mph.
