Until Toyota will decide to finally bring the production version FT-86 sports car, the only possibility to actually drive the FT-86 II Concept car is while playing Gran Turismo 5 video game. Well, at least is something, even if the trailer is obviously created by CGI.

With this trailer, the FT-86 II has been added to the very longlist of cars to be featured in GT5. And all we can say is enjoy your ride, at least until you will actually enjoy the real car!

Refresher: the FT-86 II Concept made its debut early this year at the Geneva Motor Show and according to the company it will be most realistic preview of the production version set to arrive in 2012. The sports car is rumored to be powered by a 2.5-liter boxer-four engine that produces 305 HP - an engine shared with its Subaru sibling.

hey, is the car already available for play at the start? I think you still have to work your way around the game in order to be able to get the FT-86.

Well, it doesn’t really bother me if it is close to the actual FT-86 or not, it really isn’t that big of a deal. The good thing is that I get to drive the car in the game.

Yeah, you’re probably right. But it is likely that this would be a bit close to the actual thing, so you will still be able to feel how the car would handle in the game.

I doubt that the virtual FT-86 in the Gran Turismo game will have the same performance as the real car. After all, Toyota still has the numbers for the car still up in wraps.

Same here, we only got the chance to drive this car when playing the GT5. Well, I think this is the best time that we got to experience the FT-86 for realsmiley

Well, I have heard that the FT-86 has impressed the audiences from the GM Show. Though this car is still a concept, Well, I’m looking forward to see this car run on the road for real!

At the very least, we will be seeing how the FT-86 would actually run, even if it is just in a game. Certainly worth looking forward to.

I think that this one of the cars that you have to unlock first before you can use it in the game. Hope they did a good job of matching this one to the performance of the actual car.

Most of the concept cars end up in video games, while their lower versions come to production. I hope this one to come in to production in near future.
