Auto Motor und Sport has made a little preview of the future Volkswagen models. Some of this new models will be on display at Paris Motor Show and the rest will debut in the near future. This new models are: Volkswagen Cross Golf, Touareg and Touran facelift and passat R36.

The Cross Golf will be on display at Paris Motor Show at the end of September. It it based on the Golf Plus and the engine will be something between the 1.4 liter 80 hp and 2.0 FSI 150hp, alternatively with double clutch transmission (DSG).

The facelift Touareg will go on sale at the begining of 2007 with new inside improvements, new beacons, modifications of the front fascia and also new external mirrors.

It will be powered by a 3.0 V6 TDI diesel-engine at 230 hp and 500 Nm with architecture derived from the VR6 gas-engine, that it will also appear in the 2009 Passat and the Scirocco. Other engines for the new Touareg will be the 2.5 diesel engine 5 cylinders at 174 hp, the 5.0 V10 TDI with an output of 330 hp, the 3.0 V6 TDI at 224 hp.

The Passat R36 will be available both as a Sedan and as a Station Wagon and will go on sale in March 2007. It will be powered by the 3.6 VR6 gas-engine with an output of 300 hp, allready available in the USA.
