The German tuner B&B managed to achieve the most powerful production Golf ever. If from factory the Volkswagen Golf R comes with a total of 270 hp, the tuner took the output to an amazing 362 hp. As a result the sprint from 0 to 60 mph is made in 4,8 seconds, while top speed goes up to 173 mph.

The extra power could be delivered thanks to the addition of a larger turbocharger, a special sports exhaust system with a larger pipes and high-performance racing catalyst.

Besides that, the Golf R also gets sport springs which lower the ride height by 30 mm, an 8-piston high-performance braking system and 19 inch or 20 inch wheels.

The good thing about this car is that it was announced as a cheaper and affordable’ hatchback in the market. BTW, I prefer to buy the original concept.

The full black paint job of this car and the traditional red back lights make this car kind of boring! And I don’t think 173 hp is less powerful engine for 50 hp is just enough for a daily used car.

Its been such a while since I’ve browse all Volkswagen Golf type vehicles. I can clearly sees the difference among others. I’ve been wondering that there is nothing special on all types. It could be better if the company will just hold this one and started to plan on a new Suvs.

The Eos is, and was, too expensive, especially when it came in 6-cylinder guise. Keep the Cabrio simple and less expensive, please.

I hope they changed the engine/turbo from that of TT-S, because TT-S engine is known for nasty turbo lag.

I guess you can say that. Except maybe, that the Golf’s interior utilizes higher fit and finish and comfort overall.

I think they should develop more beetle like cars rather this one. They will just make a low output sales.

this new VW Golf really looks like the smaller version of the Honda Jazz. The only difference is the mufflers. The whole body is Honda Jazz.

@Buikcart: yeah, this golf is really built for racing purpose, this is a monster Golf. B&B really have a great job in tuning this car.

@Bobby_Cruz: yes, but I think VW golf will never become faster without any tune up. Also in real Golf, you need to tune this thing first before you can experience fast speed.

The first time I began to admire Volkswagen’s Golf is when I played NFS. I have test drove a stock car and it felt great as well. I’m pretty sure that the tuner version will definitely be a great treat to those Golf lovers.

no matter who tunes this golf is still one of the best german hatch. even the normal golf does look aggressive and sporty.

This is not the first time that a tuner took interest of improving the VW Golf. But this is the best so far, in terms of the look and the performance.

The bigger wheels for the Golf GTI R is definitely a big plus, aside of course from the fact that they have transformed my favorite hatch faster.

Great job for tuner B&B for this great job. The larger turbocharger, a special sports exhaust system with a larger pipes and high-performance racing catalyst have made the trick for an amazing 362hp!
