Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina, the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer is a series of sports cars produced by Ferrari between 1973 and 1984. The first BB model was the 365 GT4 BB and it was followed by the BB 512 and the BB 512i. While the first BB model was unveiled at the 1971 Turin Auto Show, the 512i followed 10 years later at the 1981 Frankfurt Motor Show. The BB models were not built for the U.S. market, and whatever units you can find here were imported and federalized in-period via the gray market.

This particular 512 BBi is one of the 1,007 fuel-injected Berlinetta Boxers built during its four years of production. It was bought by the current owner in December 2013, after spending some time in California. It is offered with all the factory books, tools, service records, removed parts, and a set of metric wheels. Also, the Carfax report shows no accidents or damage.

The unit is finished in black with a contrasting silver front clamshell grille. It rides on 17-inch Group 4 wheels wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact tires. The seller is also offering another set of five-spoke metric wheels with Michelin TRX tires as a bonus. Just like any other BB model, the 512 BBi is offered with pop-up headlights. While the exterior is in a very good shape, there are a few chips on the paint, but nothing that can't be fixed.

The cabin is trimmed in a tan leather with contrasting black elements. The seats, the door panels, the center console are all wrapped in tan leather, while black leather was used for the dashboard, the accents on the seats, and the floor mats. The model is even offered with a Ferrari-branded Pioneer cassette player. The speedometer shows 200 mph, the tachometer has a 7.000 rpm redline and the odometer only shows 66k miles.

Under the hood, the 512 BBi features a 4.9-liter flat-12 engine that delivers a total of 335 horsepower and 333 pound-feet of torque. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph is made in 5.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 173 mph. The engine sends its power to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. The owner also installed a new Bell exhaust system back in 2019, but the removed exhaust is included in the sale.

The current bid at the moment of this writing is $175,000 and the auction ends in two days. So, if you want to own this very cool sports car you should probably hurry up. You can also track prices for the 512 BBi across the entire market here.
