Watch A Ford Mustang Mach 1 Try To Cha-Cha-Cha With A Porsche Cayman GT4 And A 718 - gallery

The ‘Carwow’ team got two Porsches – a Cayman GT4 and a 718 Cayman – along with a Ford Mustang Mach 1 and pit them all against each other for a series of races

Porsche Cayman GT4:

It comes with a 4.0-liter, flat-six, naturally aspirated mill that makes 420 HP and 310 lb/ft of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox drives the rear wheels exclusively

Porsche Cayman 718:

It is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged mill that generates 300 HP and 280 lb/ft of torque. It is mated to a seven-speed PDK

Ford Mustang Mach 1:

It is powered by a 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated V-8 Coyote engine. It churns out 460 HP and 390 lb/ft of twist. A six-speed manual drives the rear wheels here, too

In the first drag race, the 718 was the quickest off the line. The GT4 managed to catch up with it and get past it soon after. However, the Mustang remained last at the end of the quarter-mile

In the second race, the 718 shot off once again, but this time, the GT4 couldn’t catch it. It took 12.7 seconds to complete the race, whereas the GT4 and the Mustang Mach 1 took 13.7 seconds

The final round was the brake test from 100 mph. The 718 stopped in the shortest distance, followed by the GT4 and the Mustang
