The GT-R’s V-6 makes more power than the Huracan and the R8

Lately, YouTube is filled with EVs obliterating internal-combustion engined supercars. So, this comes as a breath of fresh air. The folks at Carwow organized an old-school, triple-threat drag race between a Lamborghini Huracan, an Audi R8, and a Nissan GT-R. While the GT-R seems out of place here in terms of factory specs, it is a tuned version that can give the rivaling V-10s a run for their money.

The Lamborghini Huracan is powered by a 5.2-liter, naturally-aspirated V-10 engine that cranks out 640 ponies and 443 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to all the wheels via a seven-speed automatic gearbox. The Huracan weighs roughly around 3,050 pounds. The Audi R8 also makes use of the same 5.2-liter, naturally-aspirated V-10 engine, but it makes 600 horses and 428 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to all the wheels via a seven-speed DCT. It weighs around 3,640 pounds.

The Nissan GT-R is powered by a 3.8-liter, V-6 twin-turbo engine that produces 562 ponies and 470 pound-feet of torque as standard. However, it is a tuned-up version and features different cast downpipes, ECU remapping, new injectors, and 102 mm performance exhaust, thus pushing it to churn out 670 horses and 612 pound-feet of torque! While it has a performance advantage over its rivals, it is the heaviest car of the lot, weighing in at approximately 3,860 pounds.

All the cars, by the way, had Launch Control. While the Nissan has the best power outputs, it is also the heaviest one, thus nullifying its advantage to an extent. The cars went up against each other in three drag races, two rolling races, and a brake test. We aren’t spoiling it for you by posting the results, but let us know your prediction in the comments section below before you watch the video.
