First I cried. Then I laughed. Then I cried again. This video reminded me of something Dr. Sheldon Cooper once said: “One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and it makes me sad”. This dude should be arrested not for being negligent, but for being stupid. He literally crashed a Mercedes C63S AMG into a tree while trying to impress the crowd and ended up looking like a fool. Worth it? Hells naw!

Handling Over 500 Horses Is Not Everyone’s Cup Of Tea

The incident happened in the Netherlands when Mr. Showoff tried to impress the crowd near Rotterdam Ahoy where the 100% Auto Live car show was held. He tried to drift, got the first bit right, but lost control over the second one and ended up smashing the right-side rear-quarter into a tree. The car first climbed over the small pavement and then jumped right into the tree. It felt like a puny wrestler getting a knockout punch from the Big Show. Such force the impact generated that the right side curtain airbag inflated. The car broke its kidneys, arm, hip bone, and even the leg to an extent (check out the video and comments below to discover why these body parts were used in this context)

Ken Block Must Be Facepalm-ing Himself

All the people around who were supposed to be impressed saw the crash. Either way, he became the talk of the town. And, on the bright side, he wouldn’t have gotten as famous with a perfect drift as he is right now. Blessing in disguise? Not really, but it's a way to look at things positively. All said and done, let’s talk about the victim here. No, not the driver. Not even you and me. I’m talking about the black, beautiful Mercedes-AMG C63 S. It may look classy and carry itself with utmost grace; but when it comes to such situations, it can be a badass. The swanky German – not talking about Heidi Klum - took the hit quite well. The impact was so hard that even the bark of the tree broke a bit.

This Seems More Plausible

Actually there could be another theory to this. The car may have reached a saturation point and thought, “I’ve had enough of this guy. Let me harm myself so I can get rid of him.” It was finally taken away from the abusive owner who smashed her - literally! Anyway, speaking of the Mercedes-AMG C63 S, it comes packed with a powerful 4.0-liter, V-8 bi-turbo engine under the hood. The mill churns out 503 ponies and 516 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via a nine-speed AMG SpeedShift automatic transmission and it can sprint to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.8 seconds. In the States, the car retails from $74,600.

Conclusion

Now that the car is in safer hands, I hope it is restored to its glory and kept away from the driver until he learns to respect it. Get the skills and then get behind the wheel.
