One of the latest CarWow shootouts saw two super SUVs go head to head, the all-new Aston Martin DBX 707 and the Lamborghini Urus

But regardless, let's see if the new kid on the block can one-up one of the fastest SUVs out there, the Lamborghini Urus

Under the hood of the DBX 707 lies an AMG sourced 4.0-L twin-turbo V-8 that produces 707 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque

You've got AWD traction that sends power to the wheels via a nine-speed torque converter auto. The Aston tips the scales at 5930 lbs

Meanwhile, sitting next to the Aston, we have this sinister-looking Urus

The Lambo is also rocking a 4.0-L twin-turbo V-8, but it is slightly down on power as opposed to the Aston at 650 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque.

The Lambo sends power to all four corner via an eight-speed auto and is slightly lighter then the DBX at 4894 lbs

The Standing Quarter Mile

With the numbers taken care of, both SUVs line up for launch. First-round, the good ol' 1/4 mile

From the dig, despite being slightly heavier, it was the Aston that managed to clinch the lead

And it was a gap that grew bigger, with the Aston taking just 11.7 seconds to do the standing 1/4 mile

But the Lambo wasn't far behind

Rolling Race - Comfort Mode

Next onto the rolling races from 50 mph

The Aston wasn't that quick to kick down, but once it got going, you can see how things stand at the 1/2 mile marker

And it was an easy win for the DBX 707

Rolling Race - Sport Mode

With both SUVs locked in third gear and in the meat of the powerband, the Lambo didn't stand a chance

Brake Test

The Lambo was finally able to redeem itself in the full emergency brake test

That's no surprise as the Urus is lighter than the DBX 707 and has better carbon-ceramic brakes
