Not very sure about you, but I personally think there is nothing sexier than a hypercar testing on a rainy day – on the track, of course. There is something about speed and splashes of water that go perfectly well together. That is why this video showing an Aston Martin Valkyrie prototype vehicle during a development test at Mugello Circuit is one of our favorites of the year. At least so far!

19Bozzy92nd - the channel that posted the video of the Valkyrie, said it didn't find out what the testing was all about, but all we care about is the testing itself: a supercar being pushed over its limits during extreme conditions. Isn't it what is all about?

The testing could have something to do with the fact that the first units are being delivered to their respective owners, but what we really care about is that the rain highlighted the Valkyrie's beautiful aerodynamic flows. We’ve seen pictures and videos highlighting its aerodynamics, but when looked at it in the rain, it is just different. Or the testing could simply be about showing off that amazing V-12 sound! Oh yeah, and the black paint makes the Valkyrie look even better!

As a reminder, the Valkyrie is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V-12 engine designed, developed, and produced by Cosworth. The engine alone delivers a total of 1,000 horsepower at 10,500 rpm and 545 pound-feet of torque. But the V-12 is mated to an electric motor that adds another 160 horsepower and 205 pound-feet of torque. As a result, this hybrid hypercar has a total system output of 1,160 horsepower at 10,500 rpm and 900 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The supercar will go from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of more than 200 mph.

Priced at $3.5 million, the Valkyrie will be limited to only 150 units, making it a rare beauty. However, even if you had the money for it, you should know that all the units are already spoken for.
