The folks at Carwow are here again with yet another exciting drag race; this time between two cars from the same family. The Audi RS 6 and the Lamborghini Urus belong to two different categories altogether and aren’t in the same price bracket either. But, they feature the same engine, the same racing DNA, and almost identical specs on paper. How often do you see such close battles on a racing strip?

The Audi RS 6 is powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V-8 mill that makes 592 ponies and 590 pound-feet of twist. It is also equipped with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. Power is sent to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The wagon sprints to 62 mph from a standstill in 3.6 seconds and tops out at 155 mph. It weighs 4,575 pounds.

The Lamborghini Urus comes with the same 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged engine under the hood that churns out 641 horses and 627 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to all the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The SUV can sprint to 62 mph from a standstill in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 190 mph. It weighs almost 300 pounds more than the Audi RS6.

The two Volkswagen products went up against each other in two drag races, two rolling races, and a brake test. Even though the Urus has more power, it also weighs more than the RS 6, thus neutralizing the extra power advantage to an extent. On paper, the RS 6 and the Urus have the same 0-62 mph times, and you can see the same being played out here on the race track as well. The races were closer than expected. Which vehicle do you think got the winning rights? The family wagon or the Italian SUV? Let us know your predictions in the comments section below.
