We’re talking about 1,300 horses and 1,200 pound-feet of torque unleashed on the drag strip
by Sidd Dhimaan, on LISTEN 02:14It’s time for another race between two big, burly SUVs. One is the Bavarian X6 with the M cape, whereas the other one is the Jaguar F-Pace SVR’s alter-ego designed by Lister called the ‘Stealth’. The folks at Carwow put these two SUVs against each other in multiple races. Both the SUVs have unique features that nullify the other one’s advantages, thus making for an interesting battle to watch. Which SUV have you got your money on?
The BMW X6M comes with a 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V-8 engine under the hood that produces 625 ponies and 553 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to all the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The X6M takes 3.8 seconds to sprint to 62 mph from rest. It comes with a Launch Control, too. The SUV weighs around 5,225 pounds.
The Lister ‘F-Pace SVR’ Stealth is powered by the same engine that features in the F-Pace SVR – a 5.0-liter, supercharged V-8 mill – but with a smaller supercharger pulley, a free-flow exhaust, and a Stage 2 tune, amongst other things. In the standard model, it makes 550 horses and 526 pound-feet of torque.
But, in the case of the Stealth, the power outputs are rated at 675 horses and 650 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to all the wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox, but unlike the X6M, it doesn’t come with a Launch Control. Despite this, the Stealth takes just 3.6 seconds to hit the 60 mph mark from the standstill. It weighs around 4,520 pounds, making it much lighter than the X6M.
The SUVs went up against each other in a drag race, two rolling races, a brake test. There was one win each for both the vehicles and one draw. Can you predict the results before watching the video? Let us know in the comments section below if your prediction came true.
