When you have a product come out of Hennessey’s factory, you know it’s mighty fast. One such product is the Goliath 700, which is based on the GMC Sierra Denali. Hennessey gave the Sierra a significant power boost which turned the simpleton into a beast. To see how much of a difference it made, the tuner decided to pit the Goliath 700 against a stock 2020 Chevy Silverado which features the same engine as the Sierra, sans the Hennessey mods.

How Do They Fare Against Each Other?

Let’s put out the specs first. The 2020 Chevy Silverado in question comes packed with a 6.2-liter, V-8 mill under the hood. It makes 420 horses and 460 pound-feet of twist.

Power is sent to the wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Goliath 700 is powered by the same mill, but Hennessey installed a 2.9-liter supercharger that pumped up the power output. The mill now churns out 700 horses at 6,300 rpm. The company has also installed:

-* High-Flow Intercooling System

-* High-Flow Air Induction System

-* Custom HPE Camshaft

-* Chromoly Hardened Pushrods

-* Crankcase Ventilation System

-* HPE Engine Management Calibration

The company didn’t reveal any timings or conduct any re-runs. It was expected that the modded truck would win, but my highlight from the video would be how the stock Silverado held its ground.

Remember how Hennessey’s other product, the Venom 775, beat the stock Mustang GT350? Honestly, I expected a straight-up beatdown like that. But, this video goes on to show what a capable engine the stock V-8 is. Of course, the mill mated to the supercharger is fast, too.
