Porsche is really licking its fingers with the 911 and we are glad they do since this means there’s going to be a version for everyone, just as it has always been. This YouTube video, courtesy of Automotive Mike, shows us how the new classic-inspired 911 is blasting around the Nurburgring. We already know that Porsche will, once again, give us a throwback version to the 1973 Carrera 2.7 RS.

Whether the new 992-based car will be called the Sport Classic or not, remains to be seen. In the video, you can see the 992 blasting around Nurburgring, doing the occasional power slide out of corners.

Although the sound quality isn’t the best, we can get a few hints, as to what the car will come with. We were almost certain the car would come with the 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six and, by the sound of it, this might indeed be the case. It’s very subtle, but we hear the blow-off valves, which confirms that this 992 is not normally aspirated.

Porsche was quite clear that the GT3/RS will be the only normally-aspirated 911. Moreover, judging by the shifting times, we think the car will come with a manual gearbox as standard, although a PDK will probably be optional for those who want it. And might we just say, that ducktail spoiler just looks right on a 911. As stated before, the car will be unveiled sometime later this year or beginning of 2022.
