2020 was a rough year because of the Covid-19 pandemic, so we're all looking forward to seeing Santa Claus flying to deliver presents on Christmas night. However, we need to consider that the coronavirus may have affected good ol' Santa too. While he may have added a third shift to his toy production to make up for delays, what if magic sleigh would stop working all of a sudden? Well, I bet several automakers would rush to help out and deliver Mr. Claus a brand-new means of transportation. Let's see what would happen if famous car brands would design Santa's sleigh.

Mini

A sleigh designed by Mini would obvious draw styling cues from the iconic Cooper. But the original car. Like in this rendering, it would look a lot like the modern Cooper. While not as cute as the original city car, the modern Cooper would come with a big advantage. It's notably bigger than its spiritual predecessor, so this means more storage room for Santa's presents. Not to mention that Santa is a bit chubby so he would find it had to fit in the tiny original Mini. The modern Cooper design also goes well with the red paint and golden accents. Things can only get better with a British Racing Green costume and bag.

Volkswagen

The Beetle is no longer in production, but you can't deny that it's the cutest vehicle Volkswagen has built in years. Sure, the original Beetle would make an even cuter sleigh, but Santa could surely use the modern amenities and the extra room that come with the modern version during his long trip around the world. The only things this rendering is missing are the eye lids and lashes that Ms. Claus would probably put on the headlamps.

Tesla

Of course Santa would love a Tesla-built sleigh. It's fast, it works on electric power alone so it doesn't emit carbon-dioxide into the atmosphere, and it's packed with state-of-the-art technology. Santa can stay connected in this sleigh! And with Tesla working under the same management as Space X, the brand could develop the fastest sleigh yet. Maybe powered by some sort of EV rocket. This rendering is already predicting the future, as Tesla would drop the traditional snow runners in favor of anti-gravity technology.

Nissan

Nissan's vehicle lineup is so diverse that it's actually difficult to predict their car of choice, but the Japanese could go with their hottest offering yet: the GT-R. It looks mean, it's quick, and it's an icon all over the world. The GT-R sleigh would probably keep Santa under the spotlight a bit more than he's used to, but it could make his trip a lot more fun. Maybe Santa would finally start a vlog and document his adventure aboard the "Sleighzilla."

Land Rover

Land Rover enjoys a solid reputation for building rugged yet comfortable SUVs, so a sleigh based on the Range Rover is a nice idea. There's lots of room for Christmas gifts and a big array of active safety systems that would make the trip that much easier and safer. Santa is traveling through a lot of rough terrain, so 4x4 capability is more than welcome. And who wouldn't want a red Range Rover with a golden front grille anyway?
