• What in the World is Volvo Teasing?

It’s supposed to be the sound of the future, or at least that’s what Volvo’s teasing

Volvo recently took to its Facebook page to unveil a teaser video, promising what could be the “sound of your ride.” No clue or hints were divulged other than the cryptic #360c hashtag. It doesn’t say anything revealing, which leads to the question on what exactly is Volvo teasing with the “sound of #360c”?

Volvo’s being a little too coy with the teaser video, which, in some ways, is exactly what it should be doing. Teasers are supposed to tease; it’s up to us to figure out what it’s all about.

Fortunately, Volvo’s Facebook post has received a good number of comments from people speculating on what the teaser means. Even better, Volvo’s social media team has been up-to-task in replying to a lot of the comments.

Most of the comments speculated on a future electric car from Volvo while others were quick to point out the possibility of autonomous vehicle technology finding its way into future Volvo models. There were also comments some kind of future infotainment system, which, again, Volvo’s social media team didn’t shoot down.

Apparently, a lot of things are still in play here, not the least of which is the possibility that 360c could refer to something that we haven’t seen in the auto industry. Maybe Volvo got this teaser right after all. It says a lot without saying anything, and in the process, we’re all guessing what it could be.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read full bio
