The 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster is a really cool sports car that comes with a lot of extras over the regular 911, but you can customize it beyond that by ordering the Heritage Design Package. Crafted by Porsche Exclusive, the division responsible for bespoke features, it adds classic styling elements that link back to the roots of the German company.

The Porsche 911 Speedster Heritage Design looks the part

Already a cool car on the outside, the 911 Speedster becomes downright awesome when fitted with the Heritage Design Package. If you're a fan of vintage Porsches and classic race cars, then you'll definitely want this bundle for your 911 Speedster. The only downside is that it's restricted to one exterior color: GT Silver Metallic. That's mostly because silver has been Porsche traditional motorsport color for many decades.

As a tribute to the golden years of motorsport, Porsche painted the front bumper and the upper front fenders in white. This is yet another feature inspired by race car from the 1960s, including the iconic Porsche 917. The white accents continue onto the sides with "Porsche" lettering and stripes above the side skirts and around back with a white license plate recess in the bumper. The Heritage Design Package also adds white "gumball" graphics on the front lid and doors, which can be fitted with racing numbers via Porsche Tequipment. The "gumballs" can be removed at no extra cost if you want a cleaner exterior.

The 20-inch, center-lock wheels are finished in either Platinum Satin or Silver with this package, while the black calipers have white "Porsche" lettering. A historic Porsche crest on the front lid and gold "Speedster" badges on the rear fascia and on the sides of the flying buttresses round off the unique exterior.

The Porsche 911 Speedster Heritage Design's interior is as vintage as they get

The cool thing about vintage Porsches is that many of them had lightly colored interiors. Light brown was a common choice back in the day, and Porsche had the bright idea to add Cognac upholstery to the Heritage Design Package too. This rich brown color covers the seats and parts of the door panels and the dash, while the rest of the leather and surfaces are black for a classy contrast. Even the 12 o'clock market on the steering wheel is Cognac, as is the center console lid with "Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur" lettering.

The seats have the historic Porsche crest embossed in the headrests and GT Silver Metallic seatbacks and trim. Porsche also added "Speedster" throughout the interior, as well as a limited-edition plaque in gold on between the seats. This insert says "Porsche 70" and contains the production number of the car (out of 1,948).

The Porsche 911 Speedster Heritage Design comes with a customized chronograph

The chronograph that comes with each Speedster model was further customized to match the Heritage Design Package. It features the says Werk 01.200 movement and carbon-fiber dial, but the rotor is modeled after the Heritage Design Package's wheels. The leather strap and stitching is also Cognac instead of black, just like the upholstery inside the car.
