A big question among geek car fans lately seems to be why and how Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple and former CEO of Pixar Animation Studios, manage to drive around California without any license plate. As you can see in the photo, the vehicle, a Mercedes SL55 AMG, has only a barcode that represents the manufacturer’s VIN sticker used to identify the car, while the license plate simply doesn’t exist.

The answer is simple...thieves! Jobs doesn’t have a license plate anymore because he owns the California license plate “Apple” and it already got stolen multiple times. Of course, let’s be honest, a plate like that has quite a value on eBay, so this might be a reason too. Whoever you are, if you got Steve’s plate, at least send us a little snapshot of it in front of your PC, that would certainly make Job’s smile, wouldn’t it? :)
