The Porsche 911 facelift was recently spied winter testing near the Arctic Circle. Our spy photographers managed to catch it running around sans any camouflage. The 911 Turbo was caught testing late last year, but now, we seemed to have caught the non-Turbo trim.
There are many giveaways that point to this being a naturally aspirated model. For starters, there’s no spoiler or any vents on the fender. At the rear, you see a different pair of exhaust tips. If these visual cues are anything to go by, then the 2023 Porsche 911 could be the next 911 model after the GT3 that will come with a high-revving, forced-induction-free engine.
The 4.0-liter, naturally aspirated flat-six mill churns out 502 horses at 8,400 rpm and 346 pound-feet of torque at 6,100 rpm. It can be mated to either a six-speed manual with a third pedal that will give the purists a cargasm, or the seamless, lightning-quick seven-speed PDK. The 911 will obviously not have the GT3-like power outputs, but a free-revving engine will surely draw a lot of attention and will make many Porsche fans happy.
There isn’t much we could figure out about the interior, but the other changes on the outside include new aerodynamic efforts in the form of new air intakes and a new rear bumper. It's riding on different sets of tires at the front and back, and both look equally mesmerizing
There’s no timeline on when the facelift 911 will debut, but it could be either at the end of 2022 or early next year. Check out the entire gallery of the 2023 Porsche 911 below and let us know your thoughts in the comments section
