Koenigsegg makes some of the most insane hypercars such as the Gemera or the Regera, so you'd most likely expect that the company's founder, Christian von Koenigsegg, owns something equally insane, right? Well, one of his cars is apparently a 2021 Toyota GR Yaris, and while it's one of the best hot hatches to come out in recent years, it's far from being as insane or exclusive as the cars he produces. He probably thinks the same, too, because his GR Yaris is up for sale at Collecting Cars.

The Toyota GR Yaris has a bid of €30,750 ($32,491) at the time of this writing, which when you think about it, isn't too crazy considering the reputation that Christian von Koenigsegg has. We've seen numerous cars owned by celebrities or cars that appeared in movies fetch crazy high prices at auction, one of which is Paul Walker's "10-second" orange Toyota Supra. However, it seems that a vehicle that was owned by the founder of Sweden's most insane hypercar manufacturer doesn't carry the same prestige as celebrity-owned cars or cars that were used in movies.

Perhaps Christian von Koenigsegg is more of a celebrity to car enthusiasts like us, but not to everyone else who hangs posters of their favorite actors/actresses or singers and not founders of car companies. Still, if you find value in a Toyota GR Yaris that has gone through the hands of the founder of Koenigsegg, this is your chance to own it.

The 2021 Toyota GR Yaris, which is painted in Precious Black, thankfully comes with the optional Circuit Pack. Without it, the GR Yaris wouldn't be as capable as what we see in video reviews across YouTube. What the Circuit Pack gives you are the red brake calipers, 18-inch forged alloy wheels, and more importantly, the front and rear limited-slip differentials that make its GR-Four all-wheel drive (AWD) system so capable of all of its 261 horses to the ground in a grippy manner.

Oh, and it's worth mentioning that the GR Yaris is bone stock, and that Christian von Koenigsegg is actually one of the two owners of this car. The GR Yaris has only done 10,730 kilometers (6,667 miles), which means this hot hatch hasn't been used that often.

Apart from a few minor wear and tear such as the expected stone chips on the paint and light creasing on the upholstery, the GR Yaris is pretty much in good condition. There are also no mechanical faults to speak of, and it even went through routine service on June 22 at 10,675 kilometers (6,633 miles).

If you're a huge fan of Christian von Koenigsegg and if you have an unhealthy obsession with owning whatever item he gets to own, then this GR Yaris might be what just you're looking for.
