The Bentley Continental GT starts at over $220,000. It’s an expensive car that most of us can’t afford, so if you find yourself priced out of a Continental GT, there are ways to get one without having to spend an exorbitant amount of money. There is one catch, though: you can’t fit in any of them.

Bentley, in all its vexing might, has launched a series of Continental GT scale models, ranging from an affordable 1:64 scale model to a 1:8 scale model that’ll set you back around $10,000.

How Much is a 1:43 Scale Model of the Bentley Continental GT?

It’s a lot bigger than the 1:64 scale — it even comes with its own special edition plinth — and the design lines up with the Continental GT’s actual look. Bentley used the highest-quality resin to recreate the Continental GT in this size, and the aforementioned plinth, alongside the presentation box, bear Bentley’s unmistakable wings logo.

You can even score the 1:43 scale Continental GT in a choice of two color schemes. The first one includes a Khamun — it’s like metallic gold — exterior paint with Blackline Specification and a Beluga interior. If that finish isn’t to your liking, you can opt for the Storm Grey paint finish with a Brunel and Linen interior.

The 1:8 Scale Bentley Continental is Far From Cheap

It measures 78 cm long (30 inches), and it’s crafted from the highest quality resin. It’s also the only bespoke made-to-order piece among Bentley’s collection of scale models. If you want one, you’re going to have to order it directly from Bentley, though you have to be quick about it because Bentley only plans to build 1,000 units of the 1:8 scale model.

Building it takes over 300 hours, which seems implausible considering that it’s just a scale model. However, just like you would if you bought a real Bentley, getting the 1:8 scale model lets you personalize it to your wishes. There’s a full list of options that you can choose from, ranging from exterior paint colors, wheels, brake calipers, and, yes, even a number plate. You can also dress up the interior of your 1:8 scale model, including the main and secondary hide colors, seat quilting, veneers, carpets, and the location of the steering wheel. You can even opt for the Blackline Specification package in the event that you want to go that far to make your 1:8 scale model look as real as possible.

All of that comes at a cost, and it’s a steep one. If you want to be one of the 1,000 people to own a 1:8 scale model of the Bentley Continental GT, you’re going to have to fork over £6,995. That’s $13,000 based on current exchange rates, or the price of a brand-new, entry-level Ford Fiesta.

FAQ

Q: What’s the most affordable among these new Bentley Continental GT scale models?

It’s the smallest of the three available sizes of scale replicas, and it is made from diecast metal that manages to capture the classy aesthetic styling of the Continental GT. The tires are made from rubber and the wheel design is surprisingly detailed for its size. You can even choose among three exterior paint colors — Ice, Sequin Blue, and Orange Flame — for your 1:64 scale Continental GT.
