Could my prophesy be right? Are small batch/kit cars making a comeback?

We first saw the Zolfe Orange two years ago. Back then it was using motorcycle parts to propel the lightweight car. The orange-only car seemed quirky enough that we didn’t really mind that it never made it out of Britain.

Zolfe has gone back to the drawing board and has made an updated version purely out of car parts. The new Zolfe Orange is powered by a Ford-sourced 2.3-liter Duratec making 185 hp (up 10 hp). To celebrate this transformation to a full car, most of the planned 30 unit run will be sent to the U.S. The list price is £27,500, which is about $42,000 at direct current rates.
