With over 640 horsepower on tap from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine, the Lamborghini Urus is already one of the fastest and most formidable SUVs in the market today. But as is always the case with the powerful, the status quo isn’t nearly good enough. There’s always a need for more, more, and more. That’s why when it came time to giving the Urus an aftermarket makeover, ABT Sportsline took a break from its assembly line of tuning projects for scattered Audi and Volkswagen models to turn its attention to the Italian SUV. The result is what you’d expect from the German tuner. The Lamborghini Urus now packs more punch to the tune of 700 horsepower and 671 pound-feet of torque. It’s not big of a jump from the Urus’ standard output, but when you’re playing around with models packing this amount of power, even the simplest of performance bumps goes a long way.
2019 GMC Syclone by SVE
Performance pickup trucks seem to be the trend these days. There’s the Ram Rebel TRX and the Raptor, but this is not a new concept per se. The truck that needs to be credited for making us believe that these butch looking vehicles could actually go fast was the GMC Syclone. It debuted in the 90s and was fast enough to scare the holy hell out of anyone because there was nothing known as ’fast trucks’ back then. However, the truck did not succeed. But, seeing the demand and potential now, the GMC Syclone is all set to make a comeback. The 2019 GMC Syclone is a tribute to the original truck by Specialty Vehicle Engineering, and from what it’s worth, it sure looks exciting.
Jeep Gladiator Maximus 1000 by Hennessey
Jeep kept us waiting for almost three decades to bring out the Gladiator. It launched the concept truck back in 2005, but the production-spec truck was launched this year. However, it was worth the wait because Jeep managed to create an all-round truck that could be used as a daily-driver, as an off-roader, and also as a work truck. However, that Gladiator couldn’t be considered a ’beast’ in any sense. It neither looked intimidating, nor had the firepower to make people’s jaws drop. But Hennessey Performance was quick to work on this and decided to close in on the one thing that the original Gladiator was not. Hennessey has unveiled the alter-ego version of the Jeep Gladiator under the 2020 Hennessey Maximus 1000 Jeep Gladiator Truck moniker. The tuner decided not to make this a common offering and announced that only 24 examples of the Maximus will be manufactured. Is this product worth the exclusivity?

But now? It’s not only become a big business, but it’s also evolved into a what-you-can-do-I-can-do-better competition among aftermarket companies. Take this 1989 Porsche 911 Targa 3.2, for example. Traditional convention suggests that this classic 911 Targa should be kept in stock condition, preserved in its OG state for all eternity. German tuner DP Motorsports had other plans. It’s not the Porsche 911 Targa 3.2 anymore. It’s the Porsche Phantom Speedster, and guess what, it looks spectacular.

The Apocalypse-Dominating Bentley Bentayga Bengala is Just Downright Mean
The Bentley Bentayga is supposed to be a luxury SUV, unlike any other. It’s still that for the most part, but the Bentayga apparently has a dark and sinister side that’s waiting to be unlocked. Turns out, Spanish design house Bengala Automotive Design SL, with the help of an unidentified Spanish off-road rally champion and his team, has a key to that lock, and it did more than just unlock the Bentayga’s mean mug. It unleashed a tank-like monstrosity known as the Bentley Bentayga Bengala. Only 15 units of the Bentley Bentayga Bengala will be made. Each model will be made to the exact specification of the owner, so it’s unlikely that we’ll see two exact-spec Bengala units. There is no word on how much a unit will cost. Given the limited and custom-centric nature of the Bengala, we can at least expect a unit to cost a hell of a lot more than the Bentayga’s $195,000 base price.
2019 BMW Garmisch
The BMW Garmisch is a concept car that the German firm first unveiled in 1970 and then recreated in 2019. Designed by famed car designer Marcello Gandini at Bertone, the Garmisch reportedly vanished after its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 1970. BMW decided to rebuild the vehicle from scratch as a tributed for Marcello Gandini. The vehicle was unveiled at the 2019 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
One of the many BMWs designed by Italian studios, like the 328 Mille Miglia by Carrozzeria Touring and the M1 by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the Garmisch didn’t make it into production, but it inspired some models introduced in the 1970s, like the first-generation 5 Series. The unusual name comes from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a ski town from Bavaria. According to Gandini, this name was picked because "skiing was very popular in Italy at that time. It evoked dreams of winter sports and alpine elegance."
