2020 Ineos Grenadier
When folks like us are obsessed with a car, we draw it on papers, doodle about it, and all of that. But, if you have billions of pounds in your bank account, you just build a fully-functional vehicle from scratch. This is how the Ineos Grenadier came to life.
Ineos is a British petrochemicals group founded by Sir Jim Ratcliffe which now has an automotive division in its portfolio. Such was his love for the classic Defender that he tried to purchase the rights from Land Rover. When denied, he went on to build an SUV from the ground up that takes heavy inspiration from the old Defender. Although it looks the part, is the Ineos Grenadier as tough as the classic Land Rover?
2020 Ford GT "Le MANSORY"
Mansory has belatedly pulled the covers off of its latest masterpiece, the Ford GT “Le Mansory.” Initially scheduled to be revealed at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, the Le Mansory is the product of everything the German tuner stands for.
Modifications abound inside and outside of the Ford GT. It’s hard to expect anything less from Mansory, but this is no ordinary project for the tuner. The GT Le Mansory is limited to just three units, making it one of the rarest projects Mansory has ever created. Are you not intrigued?
Chevrolet C8 Corvette by Extreme Turbo Systems
The Chevrolet Corvette C8 is awesome in it of itself. With 495 horsepower on tap in the Z51 guise, the 2020 Vette can set a blistering pace, taking only three seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph. So if a 495-horsepower Corvette C8 Z51 is already capable of such speeds, imagine what a 736-horsepower Corvette C8 is capable of when it goes under the tuning ringer.
Extreme Turbo Systems — the name says it all — recently worked on a bone stock Corvette C8 Z51 with the goal of raising its power to supercar levels. The tuning firm even released a video of the Vette C8 strapped to a dyno rig, undergoing serious testing. The video isn’t particularly exciting, but make no mistake about it, this Corvette C8 Z51 isn’t your typical 2020 Corvette. You might even say that this Vette can give the Lamborghini Aventador S a serious run for its money.
2020 Mercedes-AMG G63 Yachting Edition by Carlex Design
The Mercedes-AMG G63 is a popular SUV among enthusiasts and aftermarket companies alike. This time, Carlex Design Europe has laid its hands on the boxy beauty and gave it a special treatment.
Called the Yachting Limited Edition, this design is a “marine version of the iconic Mercedes G63 AMG” as Carlex puts it. The company has made a few tweaks to the exterior, but most of the changes come inside the cabin. With all the light-shade leather and wood trim on the interior, it looks pretty neat, doesn’t it?
2020 Mercedes-Benz Ultimate HGLE by HOFELE
HOFELE has been in the customization business for almost four decades now. Based out of Donzdorf, Germany, the aftermarket company specializes in Mercedes-Benz models and has been doing so for a very long time. Right from the C-Class Coupe to the G-Wagon, the company has worked on all of them. This time, it has laid its hands on the GLE SUV. This model will be a part of Hofele’s ‘Ultimate’ Range and comes with noticeable changes on the outside as well as inside.
2021 GMC Canyon Syclone by Specialty Vehicle Engineering
We’ve been seeing a lot of revived monikers lately, so why not add one more to the list? This one, however, is revived by an aftermarket company and not the automaker itself. We’re talking about the GMC Syclone that was launched almost three decades back but was way ahead of its time. Specialty Vehicles Engineering, an aftermarket company based out of New Jersey, brought the Syclone badge back last year, and now it is following up with the 2021 model.
The 2021 Syclone is based on the 2021 GMC Canyon. The highlight of the 2021 Syclone is that it has 300 horses more than its predecessor, the 2019 GMC Syclone. We’re talking about 750 horses in a compact truck with a variety of other upgrades and a moniker that set the path to change the course of how trucks are generally viewed. Need we say anything more?
2020 Mercedes-AMG GP 63 Bi-TURBO by G-Power
G-Power’s reputation is one of the foremost BMW tuners in the land. That reputation has laid the foundation for the German tuner to branch out to other automakers, including Bimmer’s crosstown rival, Mercedes-Benz. Take this program for the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-door, for example. In keeping with tradition, G-Power is presenting a three-stage engine upgrade program that pulls some sickening power and performance figures out of the AMG GT 4’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine. On top of that, G-Power’s new kit for the power-packed four-door luxury Merc-AMG also includes a new set of wheels and a smattering of other cosmetic upgrades that help elevate the AMG GT 4-door’s stature higher than where it’s already at. If you thought the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door is the most subdued of all AMG GT models, then prepare to be blown away with what G-Power is offering for the high-powered sedan.
2020 Audi RS Q8 By Lumma Design
Lumma Design is back with another iteration of the Audi Q8, although this time it has chosen the RS version of the SUV to work on. The German aftermarket company has worked on the standard Q8 in the past and gave it bold exterior looks and customizable power figures based on your preference.
This time around, this RS Q8 receives a modified body kit, a lot of carbon fiber elements, and a huge increase in power. Following the footsteps of the Q8’s moniker system, this one is called the Lumma CLR 8 RS. Do we like this version better than Lumma’s standard Q8 build? Oh yes!
2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo by Novitec
Just as customers are now receiving their Ferrari F8 Tributos, a new aftermarket program is already available for Maranello’s successor to the 488 GTB. As most have likely guessed correctly, this program comes to us by way of Novitec, the Italian tuner that’s best known for its work on some of Italia’s finest supercars. This new program for the F8 Tributo is a chop off the old block for the German tuner. It’s tricked out with an impressive engine upgrade, a new set of wheels, and improvements to the suspension that should make the F8 more potent on the road and track. The package also comes with an aerodynamic body kit, but as it is with early bird tuning kits, the aforementioned aero kit remains in the oven and will be launched at a later time. Still, it’s hard not to like what Novitec already has on the table for the F8 Tributo. After all, it’s not easy to turn a 700-horsepower supercar into a bonafide spitfire.
2020 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Overdose By Novitec
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan seems to be a favorite among tuners lately. A few months back, Mansory gave it a twist, and now Novitec has laid its hands on one example.
The aftermarket company calls it the Cullinan Overdose. Befitting of its name, the company has given the Cullinan a lot of treatment on the outside. Novitec has tweaked the engine as well to offer a lot more power than it does in the standard form. With its widebody kit and lowered ride height, does it look as exquisite as the standard Cullinan?
2020 Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition SV600 By Manhart Performance
Range Rover is generally regarded as a brand that has churned out tough, brawny vehicles with a tilt towards off-roading. The Velar, however, will change your mind. Don’t get me wrong; the SUV can still take the beaten paths, but it’s the opulence and the luxuriousness that will leave you drooling.
But, even if this wasn’t enough for you, Manhart Performance has something the offer. The German tuner has given the Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition a twist that increases the output figure to make almost 600 horses. That should make you happy.
2020 Mercedes-AMG G63 Sports Line Black Bison Edition by Wald International
Wald International is known for its bold and aggressive builds. The Japanese tuner has worked on many popular models in the past, such as the Rolls-Royce Phantom, Porsche Cayenne, and even the little Suzuki Jimny.
This time around, it has laid its hands on the legendary Mercedes-AMG G 63 and named it the Sports Line Black Bison Edition. It is based on the model sold from 2016 to 2018. The company has made significant changes while retaining the boxy SUV’s essence. However, these changes are limited only to the exterior, as Wald International hasn’t tweaked the interior or anything under the hood. Even though the Black Bison Edition comes with aesthetic upgrades, will it sit well with the purists?
2020 BMW M8 Competition MH8 800 by Manhart - The Fastest 8 Series In the World
Manhart has a new toy for big boys and it’s based on the smoking-hot BMW M8 Competition, a car that’s already brimming with performance. Yet Manhart didn’t settle for the stock grunt because, honestly, that’s not what tuners do. So what you’re seeing here is the MH8 800, the fastest BMW M8 Competition... in the world.
2020 Jeep Wrangler by Sterling Automotive UK
The Jeep Wrangler has been around for many decades now. Its reputation in the automotive community and sales figures are testimony to the SUV’s success. Folks who are looking for an adventurous truck with impeccable off-roading skills often have the Wrangler at the top of their list. Even when aftermarket companies work on the Wrangler, they generally work on increasing its off-roading prowess. However, there are only a few who work on the aesthetics inside out. And, there’s no doubt that the Wrangler does not top the list when it comes to luxury and the finesse.
However, a British company called Sterling Automotive has decided to take this route for its version of the Wrangler. Sterling hasn’t made any changes under the hood or to the mechanicals of the SUV. It’s only cosmetic and aesthetic upgrades are to the exterior and the interior.
2020 Chevrolet Camaro SC630 by Callaway - Near ZL1 Power $10k Cheaper
The 2020 Callaway SC630 is an upgrade to the Chevrolet Camaro performed by Callaway Cars, an engineering company that’s been offering drivetrain upgrades for Chevrolets since the 1980s. The SC630 package revolves around supercharging the 6.2-liter V-8 offered in the sixth-generation Camaro and it’s available for the LT1, 1SS, and 2SS trims. Although exterior and interior add-ons are minimal, the supercharger increases the engine’s power from 455 to 630 horsepower. The SC630 is thus almost as powerful as the Camaro ZL1,but it comes at a notably more affordable price.
2020 Lamborghini Huracan EVO by Novitec
The Lamborghini Huracan EVO is one of those cars that arguably needs little to no improvement. It already packs a 5.2-liter V-10 engine that produces 631 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. It can split a 60 mph time in just 2.9 seconds and it peaks at a top speed of 201 mph. Lamborghini set up the Huracan EVO to be a monster, but as we’ve seen over and over again, even the fiercest of monsters have levels that they can go up to. That job doesn’t fall on Lamborghini; that falls on the shoulders of aftermarket tuners like Novitec.
The Italian aftermarket company is known far and wide for its elaborate programs for Italy’s finest exotics. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Prancing Horse or a Raging Bull, Novitec can build tuning programs like nobody’s business. Take this kit for the aforementioned Huracan EVO, for example. It’s not enough that the mighty Lambo is what it is; Novitec wants to make it better, and that’s exactly what it did. From an aerodynamic body kit to a new set of wheels to an engine upgrade program, Novitec’s aftermarket program for the Huracan EVO is as extensive as it gets.
