Chevrolet has brought back the Realtree Edition on the Silverado 1500 after a five-year hiatus. Based on the Custom Trail Boss, Chevy has collaborated with Realtree, a leading camouflage brand, once again after five years to come up with the Silverado 1500 Realtree Edition. The differences in this edition are purely aesthetic. The truck comes with camouflage graphics on the sides of the truck bed, hood, and inside the cabin.

A Special Edition Truck For The Wildlife Lovers

Chevy and Realtree worked together in 2016 once and came up with a special edition based on the LTZ Z71 crew cab. Chevrolet Truck Marketing’s Director, Bob Krapes, said, “Silverado continues to offer customers more choice and capability where it counts,”. “Building on the popular Custom Trail Boss model, the new Realtree Edition offers hunting and fishing enthusiasts a truck perfectly matched to their passions.”

This time around, they’ve chosen the Custom Trail Boss as their guinea pig. The outdoor clothing company’s graphics are seen around the power-scoop on the hood. The rear end of the side of the bed receives nicely designed camouflage clothing as well. It extends up to the wheel arches. A Realtree logo in the same design finds its place here and the Bedliner as well. The Realtree Edition also features assist steps on the sides and a pair of black rectangular exhaust tips.

The camouflage graphic is also featured on the interior door panels and comes with all-weather floor mats.

It Is The Same Under the Metall, Too

On the mechanical front, the Silverado Realtree Edition remains untouched. It is based on the Custom Trail Boss, so it receives all the standard features available on the trim. Power is sent to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Other than this, you can also have it powered by a bigger 6.2-liter, V-8 mill that makes 420 ponies and 460 pound-feet of torque. All the oomph is sent to the wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission. Other than this, Chevy has equipped a Z71 package and other off-road equipment. The Silverado 1500 comes with:

-* Two-inch Factory Suspension

-* 20-inch Black Wheels Wrapped In Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT On-Off Road Tires

-* Silverado Durabed

-* Off-road Suspension With Rancho Shocks

-* Hill Descent Control

-* Automatic Locking Rear Differential

-* Autotrac Two-Speed Transfer Case

-* Metal Underbody Shield

-* High-Capacity Air Filter

Final Thoughts

The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Realtree Edition goes on sale this summer. However, Chevy is yet to announce the prices. It is speculated to be priced marginally over the standard Custom Trail Boss’ price of around $40,000. What are your thoughts on this Realtree Edition?
