SVE will build just 50 examples of this 800-horsepower Silverado

SVE is back again with yet another powerful Chevy build. The tuner is known to customize GM trucks and has customized over 65,000 vehicles in its 25-year history to date. It even acquired rights to reincarnate the Syclone badge that was synonymous with fast trucks and built two editions of it; a 2019 Syclone and a 2021 Syclone. This time around, the company has laid its hands on a Silverado and given it a mighty boost. Called the Silverado Yenko S/C, the truck now boasts a V-8 engine that makes 800 horses! This truck should be your pick if you are looking for a fast, powerful full-size pickup truck.

What Makes the Yenko Silverado Different On The Outside?

In terms of cosmetic upgrades, the differences are limited, but enough to differentiate it from the stock Silverado. There are contrasting side stripes with “Yenko S/C” spelled out there. The same is embossed on the tailgate. The side stripes can be had in nine different colors. A new set of 22-inch six-spoke, simple-looking wheels are in place of the stock wheels and are available in three different finishes - bright silver, satin black, or satin black with red line stripe.

If this wasn’t enough, the tuner has added a not-so-subtle indication of this being an extraordinary beast - custom ‘800 HP’ badges on the hood and the tailgate. SVE is offering this build in Crew Cab or Double Cab models, either with a two-wheel-drive or a four-wheel-drive layout.

Is There Anything New On The Inside?

On the inside, things aren’t changed, but you can opt for the optional leather seat package that comes with black or gray leather surrounds with seven different insert color options.

You can also go for front floor mats embroidered with the Yenko Crest, along with Yenko/SC doorsill plates. Apart from this, the Silverado comes with a numbered dash plaque and two numbered keyfobs displaying the horsepower and the torque figures. Then there’s the owner’s manual and the window sticker.

What Powers The Silverado Yenko S/C?

The Silverado Yenko S/C is powered by a 6.2-liter, supercharged V-8 engine that churns out 800 ponies and 720 pound-feet of twist!

Power is sent to all the wheels via an upgraded automatic gearbox that comes with new clutch packs and a custom torque converter. The supercharger is equipped with a planetary gearset that does not create the typical whining sound coming from a supercharger.

The tuner has tweaked the suspension system as well.

The truck sits two inches lower at the front and five inches in the back and this greatly reduces the body roll.

The tuner has used a heavy-duty rear sway bar and slightly more aggressive shocks. The aftermarket company has installed a custom stainless steel exhaust system with high-flow cats to create a very sweet grunt but without the supercharger whine. SVE said that the engine upgrades include:

  • Race-Quality Computer-Balanced Rotating Assembly
  • Forged 1538mv Twisted Steel Crankshaft
  • Forged Aluminum Pistons
  • CNC-Ported LT1 Cylinder Heads
  • SVE High-Output OEM-Style Centrifugal Supercharger Assembly
  • Air-to-Water Intercooler
  • Custom Stainless Steel Headers
  • Brembo Brakes with Custom Color Calipers

SVE hasn’t announced the 0-60 mph time or the top speed, but it did say that the Silverado Yenko S/C could qualify as the “Quickest 2021 Limited Production Pickup Truck In The World.” It mentions “Limited” because SVE plans to build only 50 examples of this truck. The company hasn’t announced the pricing either. The truck also comes with a 3-Year/36,000-Mile warranty that covers the engine, supercharger assembly, transmission, and non-powertrain components.
