It was the 2017 Chicago Auto Show when Chevrolet displayed an entire lineup equipped with the Redline package. Ranging from the small Cruze, up to the sporty Camaro and even higher to big trucks like the Silverado, they all got the same update. Now, just when we thought Chevrolet got rid of that Redline package upgrade, the company decided to prove us wrong. The name is back, and it will be used for the 2023 Bolt EUV lineup.

What makes the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV Redline Edition special?

It wasn't that long ago that Chevy had to halt production of both the Bolt EV and EUV because of a recall. Problems have been fixed, batteries have been replaced, and now both models are back in production. While the standard Bolt EV will continue to be offered like usual, the EUV - aka the Bolt's electric crossover sibling - will be offered with the Redline Edition upgrade.

Like any other time in the past, the Redline Edition is just an appearance package that will make the electric crossover a little bit more attractive. Or at least this is what Chevy hopes everyone thinks.

Changes to the exterior will be minimal and will include a new set of 17-inch gloss black painted aluminum wheels with red accents, a black and red Bolt EUV badge on the rear hatch, and red accent decals on the outside mirror caps. The models equipped with the Redline Edition package can be ordered in Summit White, Mosaic Black Metallic, and Silver Flare Metallic finishes. Inside, the package will only add Jet black leather with red accent stitching.

And yes, that’s pretty much it! The rest of the Bolt EUV will remain unchanged.

It will feature the same electric motor capable of delivering 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. The motor will take its juice from a 66 kWh lithium-ion battery pack made up of 288 individual cells that needs around 10 hours to be fully recharged. The good news is that 30 minutes of charging will offer you a range of up to 100 miles – more than enough for your daily commute. Total range goes up to 259 miles.

Production of both the 2023 Bolt EV and Bolt EUV will begin later in the summer of 2022. The new Redline Edition will be available in the U.S., Canada, and Korea. Chevy said nothing about the prices for the new edition, but it should be a little higher than the $33,995 asked for a 2022 Bolt EUV.

Also, Chevy is also offering leasing incentives for the Bolt EUV. For the 2022 model year, for example, with a due down payment of $4,659, you can lease the Bolt EUV for 36 months with a monthly payment of just $289. While prices for the Bolt EUV Redline Edition will probably be a little bit higher, we still expect them to be fairly reasonable.
