There is no wonder why the Corvette ZR1 was chosen the best at Detroit Auto Show. It is indeed a very good and anticipated car, but on the other hand it didn’t had a real competition in there. According to Detroit News, the ZR1 was the best and the sexiest car in the Show. Results were announced at the Detroit Economic Club’s North American International Auto Show 2008 luncheon at Cobo Center.

The Truck winner was a no brainer, already nominated in half of the car magazines, the Mazda CX-9:
Just kidding, it rocks.. But we were just hand over the Corvette ZR1 press book and there is one cool picture for the motor geeks out there. We have already seen the LS9 engine torn apart, but I had not seen that one. you are looking at the ’twin screw’ detail behind the LS9 supercharger.
Chevrolet will unveil the long waited Corvette ZR1 in January at the Detroit Auto Show. The ZR1 is powered by a LS9 supercharged 6.2L V-8 that produces at least 100 horsepower per liter, or 620 horsepower (462 kW), and approximately 595 lb.-ft. of torque (823 Nm).
