2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV
With growing competition in the so-called affordable EV segment, Chevy had to make sure its offering, the Bolt, didn’t fade away into oblivion. For the 2022 model year, Chevy has refreshed the Bolt EV and simultaneously introduced an SUV-esque version of it called the Bolt EUV. The Chevy Bolt has been around for quite some time and can be credited with being one of the first mainstream automakers to have a solid EV offering. However, with a growing number of rivals, Chevy had to somehow make the Bolt look like a bang-for-the-buck product and not lose plot to the likes of Tesla.
While the range and the power outputs remain the same, the 2022 Bolt comes with refreshed interior and exterior, more standard kit, and a lower starting price. It definitely looks like a much better package overall.
2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R
Corvette Racing, the oldest continuous program in top-level sports car racing of the modern era, unveiled its next chapter back in October when GM unexpectedly took the wraps off the C8.R, the GTE-spec race car based on the eighth-generation Corvette. It comes with a menacing body kit, a huge wing hanging over the back, and a flat-plane crank, 500 horsepower, 5.5-liter V-8 in the middle. A pair will race in the IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship and at Le Mans next year, so keep your eyes and ears peeled.
It was back in 1999 at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona that a factory-backed racing Corvette first took to the track in an official practice session for a race. After decades of racing in privateer hands, barring some semi-factory-backed efforts that were ultimately canned due to GM’s ban on motorsport-related activities, the Corvette finally competed with backing from Detroit. 21 years later, Corvette Racing is still taking on the world’s best on America’s road courses and beyond and its latest weapon is unarguably the craziest yet.
2021 Chevrolet Suburban
Christmas has come early in 2019 with the surprise release of an All-New Chevy Suburban. In this case we mean, there’s actually a lot of all-new. Interested in more legroom, the Suburban has you covered with an extra 2.3 inches in the second row (now 42 inches) and 2.2 inches in the third row (now 36.7 inches). Cargo room is even up by an impressive 23 cubic-feet with all the seats laid down. All this extra space comes courtesy of the Suburban’s new, 134.1-inch wheelbase, an increase of 4.1 inches (overall length only increased by 1.3 inches.)
It’s more than just space that makes the 2021 Chevy Suburban special, though. When fully optioned, the cabin can be fitted with a total of five display screens:Two rear seat display screens A 15-inch Head-Up display 8-inch digital instrument cluster 10-inch diagonal infotainment display
Under the skin, you’ll find that Chevy’s 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V-8s carry over. For 2021 the 5.3-liter is good for 355 horsepower while the 6.2 comes correct with 420 horsepower, the latter is only standard on the High Country trim. More important than this is the all-new 3.0-liter, Duramax, inline-six. GM says it will be available on all trim levels with exceptions of the Z71 and that it delivers 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. It’s supposed to offer superior fuel economy and it’s a step up for Chevy as no other full-size SUV that it competes with actually offers this diesel engine. Fuel economy has yet to be released.
For now, pricing is a mystery, but the 2021 Chevy Suburban and the 2021 Chevy Tahoe are expected to go on sale in Mid-2020.
2021 Chevrolet Tahoe
Chevy has finally revitalized is full-size SUV lineup by updating the 2021 Chevy Suburban and Chevy Tahoe. With the update comes a new exterior look that’s bolder and more muscular than before, and a new interior with crazy amounts of new technology. What is arguably more important than any of this, though, are the changes that happen under the skin. Chevy made an all-new chassis, and with it comes a revised adaptive air suspension and a longer rear multi-link suspension that will drastically improve ride quality and handling abilities. On top of this, the 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V-8s carry over, offering 355 horsepower and 420 horsepower, respectively. A new Duramax, 3.0-liter, inline-six joins the mix as well, and it offers up 277 horsepower, 460 pound-feet of torque and what Chevy believes fuel economy ratings that will meet or exceed the best in the segment. Towing figures or official fuel economy figures have yet to be released.
On the inside, the biggest change comes in the passenger and cargo room departments. Since Chevy managed to stretch the Tahoe’s wheelbase by 4.9 inches to 120.9 inches total, the Tahoe now offers 42 inches of second row legroom (a 3-inch increase) and 34.9 inches of third row legroom (an impressive increase of 10.1 inches.) Cargo room was also increased by 10.2 cu-ft to 25.5 cu-ft with all the seats in place and 28.2 cu-ft to 122.9 cu-ft with all the seats laid down. On top of that, if you select the right trim an options, you can have up to five display screens:A standard 10-inch infotainment display Optional 8-inch digital instrument cluster 15-inch Head-up display Two 12.6-inch rear seat displays for second row passengers
Overall, Chevy has made major improvements to its full-size SUVS, and pricing has yet to be announced but don’t expect prices to increase too much. The usual trim levels will carry over, including the Z71 and High Country, among others, and you’ll be able to get your hands on the all-new Tahoe when it launches in Mid-2020.
2019 - 2020 Chevrolet Camaro
Chevy’s resident muscle car and Mustang fighter went under the scalpel for the 2019 model to bring it up to speed in the looks and technology department. As part of this mid-cycle update, Chevy also added in the 1LE package for the Camaro Turbo to make it more track ready while updating various components of other trim levels to help keep them fresh while still standing out in the crowd. There are no power updates as part of this update, but with the new tech and new looks, the Camaro should be able to hold its own against the Mustang and the Challenger for a few more years.

2018 - 2019 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE
Unveiled for the 2017 model year, the sixth-generation Camaro ZL1 is by far the most impressive Camaro with forced-induction built to date. Powered by the the same LT4 engine introduced with the Corvette Z06, the latest ZL1 packs 650 horsepower, looks incredibly menacing, and costs a little more than $60,000, an amazing sticker given the performance. But, as incredible as it may sound, Chevrolet just managed to the make ZL1 even better by giving it the 1LE upgrade.
Previously available on the SS model, the 1LE package was made available for the V-6 version too for the sixth-generation Camaro. Now, Chevy devised a similar package for the ZL1 and claims that the supercharged 1LE is the most track-capable Camaro ever, meaning it should outgun the bonkers (and now discontinued) Z/28 too. These claims are backed by racing-based suspension and aero technologies, as well as exclusive Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, and a range of weight-saving measure. How powerful and fast is it? 2019 Chevrolet Silverado
Chevrolet has pulled the covers off its all-new, 2019 Silverado 1500 half-ton pickup truck. While Chevy teased the truck back in December at the Texas Motor Speedway at Chevy’s centennial celebration, the full details only became available at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show. Chevy also made sure everyone knew the 2018 Detroit show marked 100 years since the brand launched its first pickup.
The 2019 Silverado is completely new and shares almost zero parts from the outgoing truck. Even the 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V-8s are revised for increased efficiency. The truck’s fully boxed frame is now 88 pounds lighter but has 10 percent more torsional rigidity, and the truck’s overall weight has dropped 450 pounds when comparing crew cab V-8 models from 2018 and 2019. Chevy did this by using aluminum. Yes, after years of dogging Ford for building its trucks from recycled beer cans, Chevy has made the switch, too. But not every body panel made the transition – only the parts that swing, which includes the hood, doors, and tailgate. The rest is steel. This includes the bed floor, which Chevy says is made from higher-strength, roll-formed steel than before.

2018 Chevrolet Traverse – Driven
The Chevrolet Traverse made a big splash into the three-row crossover pond when it debuted for 2009. It offered more interior room than Chevy’s own Tahoe, and at a much more family-friendly price. The same is true for Chevy’s all-new, second-generation Traverse, which debuts for the 2018 model year. It rides on a new chassis, comes with updated powertrains, and classier styling. Inside is Chevy’s latest tech-filled cabin with plenty of creature comforts spread over three rows and seven seats – or eight seats with the standard second-row bench.
To get an in-depth feel of how Chevy’s redesigned Traverse handled a family road trip, I embarked on a 1,500-mile road trip with my wife, daughter, and sister-in-law all piled aboard. The trip took us from sunny Central Florida to the chilly hills of East Tennessee for Thanksgiving. Our chariot was a Premier trim, second only to the High Country trim in the 2018 Traverse’s lineup. That means it came with just about every wish-list item, including heated and vented front seats, heated second-row bucket seats, the MyLink infotainment system with 4G LTE Wi-Fi, USB ports galore, and Sirius XM radio for uninterrupted music over the day-long, 12-hour drive north. Of course, Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth allowed for other choices for the front-seat DJ.

2018 Chevrolet Equinox – Driven
I don’t need to remind anyone just how explosive the crossover market is these days. The competition is growing evermore fierce as automakers fight for consumer dollars as sales of sedans plummet and traditional body-on-frame SUVs crawl up-market toward the luxury segment. That’s why the Equinox is so important for Chevrolet. It splits the difference. And having spent a week driving the all-new, 2018 Equinox, it’s clear Chevy sharpened its knife before redesigning this two-row crossover.
The new, third generation Equinox gains fresh (though arguably bland) styling for 2018, along with a far more modern interior with tons of in-demand active safety and tech features. Available attractions include a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, six USB ports, wireless phone charging, heated and vented front seats, lane keep assist, forward collision alert, and a 360-degree camera system. Chevy improved the ride, too, with a stiffer and lighter chassis, four-wheel independent suspension, and three engine choices that include a turbodiesel estimated to achieve 40 mpg highway. Even as a jaded journalist used to driving high-end products, I found myself deeply impressed by the 2018 Equinox. Keep ready to see why.

2018 Chevrolet Equinox
The second-generation Chevy Equinox hit showrooms for the 2010 model year and went through a refresh for the 2016 model year. Despite the refresh, the second-gen model is due to be replaced for 2018 and GM has finally spilled the beans. The next-gen model sports a revised exterior to go with a new engine line-up that also includes the only diesel engine available in the in compact SUV segment in North America. On top of this, it’s the first member of the Chevy family to get an all-turbocharged, multi-engine lineup. A handful of safety features are available, there’s a new surround camera to talk about, and interior cargo space has increased to 63.5 cubic-feet with the rear seats folded down. It should also be noted that through 2016, the Equinox was a midsize SUV, but for 2017 it has been classified as a compact.
With the Equinox being Chevy’s second best seller, only beat by the Chevy Silverado, it’s not too surprising that Chevy is ushering in a new generation just one year after the face-lifted model made its debut. Of course, because of this, there aren’t as many exterior changes as we’re used to seeing with generational shifts. And, while GM is calling this a 2018 model, it will go on sale in the first few months of 2017. With that said, let’s hurry up and take a good look at this model before Chevy announces a 2019 model.

2017 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE
Chevrolet has launched the first performance variant for the sixth-generation Camaro. Taking place at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show, the automaker has debuted the 2017 Camaro 1LE.
The sixth-generation 1LE departs from tradition, however, and is offered on both the Camaro SS and the V-6 model, rather than just the higher-output, V-8 Camaro. Like before, the 1LE package turns the Camaro into a handling car, focusing on suspension parts, fatter tires, and bigger brakes.
The 1LE package does use different parts between the V-6 and V-8 versions, with the V-8 obviously being the more track-ready of the two. That’s not to say the V-6 is a dud. In fact, Al Oppenheiser, the chief engineer for Camaro, says the V-6 1LE produces track times at the Willow Springs Raceway comparable with the fifth-generation 1LE – a car equipped with the 6.2-liter LS3 V-8. Impressive.
But before diving into the new 1LE’s details, let’s look at its background. The 1LE package was introduced in 1988 as a performance package option based on Chevy’s SCCA Showroom Stock racing program. The 1LE bundle was offered until 1999, but remained a low-volume specification that rarely sold more than 100 units per year. The 1LE returned in 2013 as a package offered on 1SS and 2SS trims of the fifth-generation car, and included various ZL1-sourced parts, a Tremec six-speed manual transmission, and many sporty features. The matt-black hood was its most recognizable visual trademark – something that returns for 2017.

2016 - 2017 Chevrolet Camaro
The Chevy Camaro was produced continuously between 1967 and 2002. When the fourth, and ugliest, generation of the car was discontinued. Eight years later and we were blessed with the fifth generation model that ran until 2015. For 2016, Chevy debuted the sixth generation, which was also the best-looking model in more than 20 years. The new-gen model didn’t exactly boast a revolutionary design, but the front end was more muscular and aggressive, while the sides and rear managed to fit in just right. Inside, the new Camaro was offered with an 8-inch HD instrument cluster, along with the 8-inch infotainment screen in the center stack. To be quite honest, the new generation could have been boasted as an intricate facelift as opposed to a generational change, but Chevy had to keep up with Ford and its Mustang. The big news came under the hood, where a four-cylinder could be found for the first time since the third-gen model, and a 6.2-liter V-8 offered up 455 horsepower for the SS models.
All told, the new Camaro is lighter than its predecessor and offers more power than ever. The whole four-cylinder in a muscle car thing doesn’t really sit well for us Americans, but overseas, it is a big hit – plus the Mustang has one too, so you know, got to keep up with the Joneses. The new Camaro was introduced with a price tag that ranged from $27,300 for the entry-level, four-cylinder model and $42,900 for the range-topping 2SS V-8. Like the model before it, the new Camaro is offered up with a number of performance parts to give it that extra edge.

2016 - 2017 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible
Now that the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro coupe has been unveiled, it’s time to have a closer look at the convertible model. Although we’re still a few months away from a proper auto show, Chevrolet has just confirmed the drop-top, while also releasing a batch of preliminary photos showing the pony with and without the soft-top.
The drop-top Camaro will hit dealerships sometime in the first quarter of 2016, right after Chevy will showcase it at both the Los Angeles and Detroit auto shows. Once in showrooms, it will become GM’s main weapon against the sixth-generation Ford Mustang Convertible.
Just like its coupe sibling, the convertible rides on The General’s Alpha architecture, shared with the Cadillac ATS and CTS. It’s very likely the drop-top will gain the coupe’s engines too and later receive a ZL1 badge.

2016 Chevrolet Silverado
Chevrolet may have already pulled the covers off the 2016 Silverado’s new exterior design, but it was only at the 2015 Texas State Fair that full information became available. Now Chevy has released nearly all the juicy details on the Silverado’s refresh.
Take a good look at the exterior because that encompasses the majority of changes. In fact, the interior’s design doesn’t change at all. Not that it’s a bad thing – the Silverado still has a highly competitive interior in terms of size, amenities and design. And although the design hasn’t changed, the MyLInk infotainment software now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Carrying over from last year is Chevy’s 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity.
General Motors is also updating the Silverado’s powertrain, though only on mid- and high-level models. Those leather-lined luxo-trucks get the new eight-speed automatic found in several of GM’s 2015 body-on-frame SUVs, along with the GMC Sierra Denali.
Of course, there’s no room to discount the Silverado’s new styling. The fresh look brings the truck into a more modern era. LED headlights are offered, along with LED daytime running lights, turn signals, and rear taillights. Heck, even the base WT trim level now has HID projector beam headlights – something only found on high-end luxury cars five years ago.

Update 02/25/2016: Chevrolet announced today that it will offer a mild-hybrid electric system on 500, California-based 2016 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 1LT pickup trucks. The system delivers a 13-percent increase in fuel economy while adding 13 horsepower and 44 pound-feet of torque to the 5.3-liter V-8’s overall output.

2016 Chevrolet Volt – Driven
The first-generation Volt came thundering into Chevrolet dealerships for the 2011 model year. Not only was it an all-new model for Chevy that competed with hybrid stalwarts like the Toyota Prius, the Volt helped carry GM through the desperate rough patch of 2008 and 2009. GM executives already had the Volt on the books at the time, and were able to convince the right people in Washington to extend a helping hand. Those loans, or what everybody called the GM bailout, helped the struggling automaker get back on its feet.
Fast forward to the 2016 model year, and Chevy has an all-new Volt rolling off the assembly line. Not one part number carries over to the new car, making it a ground-up re-think of the range-extended electric vehicle. New, bolder looks with a more conventional yet modern interior pushes the Volt into the mainstream while keeping its standout qualities. It might not be the prettiest thing on four wheels, but it looks better than its predecessor.
Looks aside, the 2016 Volt has a slew of upgrades, namely with the powertrain. An all-new 1.5-liter four-cylinder uses direct injection, an Atkinson combustion cycle, and an aluminum design to increase efficiency and cut weight. A larger battery pack now offers a longer range, with the total gasoline-electric range pegged at 420 miles – a marked improvement from the first-gen’s 379-mile range.
What’s more, GM has made the Volt more accessible. Its base MSRP drops by roughly $1,000 to $33,170. Federal tax credits can drop the price another $7,500, making the Volt as inexpensive as $25,670.

Chevrolet may have already pulled the covers off the 2016 Silverado’s new exterior design , but it was only at the 2015 Texas State Fair that full information became available. Now Chevy has released nearly all the juicy details on the Silverado’s refresh.
The time has finally come for General Motors to release the long-promised 2.8-liter four-cylinder Duramax turbodiesel in its Colorado and Canyon midsized pickup trucks. The engine has been on the books for production for the 2016 model year ever since GM debuted the trucks back in 2014.
Until now, the two trucks have utilized the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder and previously range-topping 3.6-liter V-6 gasoline engines as the only options. With the introduction of the “baby” Duramax, customers demanding higher towing, payload, and fuel efficiency numbers can opt for the new engine.
Chevrolet has set the diesel upgrade price at $3,730 more than the 3.6-liter V-6. The price includes some add-ons as well, making the cost seem more reasonable. A new six-speed automatic comes standard while 4WD models use a new transfer case. All Duramax Colorados get a diesel-exclusive exhaust brake and integrated trailer brake controller, along with all the emissions equipment that allow the engine to pass EPA standards.
Those trailering aids help boost the Colorado’s max towing capacity by 700 pounds to 7,700 pounds on 2WD models. Those equipped with 4WD can tow a maximum of 7,600 pounds. In keeping with the theme, a frame-mounted two-inch receiver hitch comes standard with the Duramax.
Chevrolet says the new Duramax won’t sacrifice comfort for capability. The transmission includes a new style of torque converter called a Centrifugal Pendulum Vibration Absorber. Long story short, the CPVA keeps excessive vibrations out of the driveline and therefore out of the cabin.
The EPA fuel economy estimates have not been released yet, but expect the Duramax Colorado to achieve better than 30 mpg on the highway. Sales should begin by late summer 2015.

We now have an answer to General Motors’ mysterious “Z71 Trail Boss” trademark filing back in January. Here it is – debuted at the Cleveland Auto Show of all places – an up-fitted Colorado. This bad boy has some meaty Goodyear DuraTrac all-terrain tires and… that’s about it. Yep, the “Trail Boss” is basically a $3,320 tire upgrade.
