The 2015 Chrysler 200 finally got its long-overdue update when Chrysler->ke21 decided to introduce the revised model at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.->ke222 It really couldn’t have come at a better time as a lot of people were getting tired of the old 200. Now, the 200S is getting the full Mopar blowout at the 2014 SEMA Auto Show.->ke216 For those who already have the 2015 200S in their garages, this is the blueprint you need to follow to make it stand out even more.

The showpiece model didn’t get any peculiar colors or massive performance bumps, which might confuse some people because SEMA is usually associated with bombastic shades and outlandish engine modifications. Instead, Chrysler and Mopar opted for a more subdued, yet infinitely more realistic upgrade. There’s a new body kit somewhere in there, and while it’s not as obvious as those 19-inch matte-bronze wheels, Mopar also did a number on the 200S’ suspension system to help it in the corners.

The best part about this program is the fact that these Mopar accessories are going to be available to the public beginning in 2015. The Mopar body kit will hit stores in the first quarter of 2015 with the wheels and the other upgrades following at later dates.

Chrysler 200S Mopar in detail

The Chrysler 200S Mopar is dressed in a Phanthom Black tricoat exterior finish. It’s not the most fashionable color out there, but it works when you combine it with the other Mopar accessories that the car receives.

I also mentioned that the 200S Mopar was the recipient of a Mopar body kit. Well, the kit includes a new front splitter, new side sills, rear side-sill extensions, and a new rear valance. Another particularly interesting feature of the 200S Mopar is the new quad-exhaust-tip set, which is still in prototype stage. Look for something more refined when Chrsyler’s in-house tuning arm releases them for public consumption next year.

The noticeably lower 200S Mopar also receives a new coil-over lowering kit and last but not least, a set of 19-inch, bronze-finished Mopar wheels.

It’s hard to make out the interior upgrades based on the photos, but Chrysler does say that the 200S Mopar is on the receiving end of a stylish interior upgrade, highlighted by an Ambassador Blue leather interior. I’m not exactly sure what Ambassador Blue looks like, but it does sound rather stylish.

The car’s engine remains untouched, which means that the SEMA-bound 200S Mopar heads to Vegas sporting Chrysler's proven, 3.6-liter, Pentastar, V-6 engine that pumps out an impressive 295 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This engine mates to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
