2016 DS 4 Crossback Terre Rouge Limited Edition
Citroën’s DS 4 Crossback is a curious car in its own right. It’s technically a Citroën but the added DS name means that it also has some fashionable features attached to it. It’s also billed as a crossover, although it does look more like an oversized car. Be that as it may, the French automaker has tried really hard to separate its core line with the more premium DS sub-brand and no more is that evident than in the DS 4 Crossback Terre Rouge Limited Edition, a 17-unit limited edition model that doesn’t really offer too much in the way of exclusivity, only Citroën wants to make you believe that it does.
The good news is that the DS 4 Crossback Terre Rouge comes with a laundry list of features that have been made standard on all 17 units. The bad news is that in addition to these options, the special edition crossover’s only other claim to fame is the color that it comes in. Seems appropriate then that Citroën is only offering 17 units of the model since it might have trouble selling more than that number.
The vehicle isn’t actually all that bad; it’s just an awkward example of a model that’s being touted far more heavily than it should be. There’s a certain level of expectation that comes with models being branded as a limited edition and the DS 4 Crossback Terre Rouge, as unique as Citroën makes it out to be, really isn’t that unique once you peel through all of its layers.
But hey, it’s not like the model’s headed here to the U.S. to begin with. All 17 models are earmarked for the U.K. market at a price of £30,045, or about $36,600 based on current exchange rates.

Citroen’s DS Launches New Performance Line For Its Lineup
DS Automobiles, Citroen’s premium division, has unveiled a new, range-topping trim level for its vehicles. Developed by DS Performance, the arm that also handles the brand’s Formula E entry, the new trim will become available across the DS range, including the DS3, DS3 Cabrio, DS4 and DS5, starting October of 2016. Dubbed DS Performance Line, the company’s new trim features comprehensive updates inside and out and aims to deliver a combination of "the spirit of the GT with refinement and the latest DS brand technologies."
The new trim will be highly recognizable on the outside thanks to its unique exterior features. Add-ons include a black roof, new gloss-black alloy wheels with the "DS" logo set against a Carmine Red background on the center caps, as well as Carmine Red, White, and Gold accents on the door mirror and the rear spoiler. In addition, the front doors and engine hood are adorned with special new "DS Performance Line" badges, while the front grille features the company’s LED Vision light signature.
The cabin is also packed with new, exclusive features, starting with a new style of upholstery with black Dinamica cloth, or a choice of either grained or Nappa leather. The stitching on the seats, door panels, gear lever, and leather-wrapped steering wheel is finished in the colors of DS Performance. The front seats are embroidered with a "DS Performance Line" emblem for even more exclusivity. There’s also metallic detailing within the cabin, including chrome inserts on the steering wheel and door sills, as well as LED cabin lighting.
As far as technology goes, the Performance Line features the DS brand’s latest gadgets, including a seven-inch touchscreen, Satellite Navigation, MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay, and DS connected services via the DS Connect Box.
Nothing changes under the hood, with all models available with the same selection of gasoline and diesel four-cylinder engines.

Last year at the Paris Motor Show, it was announced that the DS line of cars would break away from Citroen to form its own premium brand. At the same show, two concepts were also unveiled, a DS 3 and DS 3 Cabriolet, each bearing the touch of French fashion label Ines de la Fressange Paris.
DS hopes to distinguish itself from its parent company as a brand focused on style, refinement, and luxury, as compared to the more pragmatic and accessible Citroen reputation. With 2015 slated as the first year of the individualized DS brand, the non-cabriolet concept from last year will now be offered in a limited-production run available for purchase, kicking things off in a truly Parisian style.
This limited-edition DS 3 was specifically designed to draw the attention of the fashion-conscious, by upgrading the exterior and interior with new colors and a few equipment additions. The result is a highly stylized hatchback that’s a visual standout among its plain-Jane counterparts. But is it worth the money?

Citroen’s collaboration with Benefit Cosmetics has produced some sweet DS 3 special edition models since the two companies decided to team up in December 2013. The one-off pink DS 3 was such a hit that it spawned an immediate successor in March 2014 inspired by Benefit’s "They’re Real!" mascara line. Then in July 2014, a third special edition DS 3, the DS 3 DSign Noire, was launched at the "Fast and Fabulous" race weekend at Silverstone. Now here we are, the fourth DS 3 collaboration between Citroen and Benefit Cosmetics has been unveiled. This time, the car is taking its design cues from yet another one of Benefit Cosmetic’s products: the ’Stay Flawless’ primer. I’m not sure exactly what a primer does, but I do know that the DS 3 DStyle by Benefit looks completely at home with its predecessors.
This particular DS 3 Cabrio comes with plenty of exterior and interior styling cues inspired by the San Francisco-based cosmetics company. I can best describe it as a stylish infusion of feminine pizazz and the Bay Area’s hipster vibe.
That’s a pretty slick combination if you ask me. Altogether, the DS 3 Cabrio DStyle by Benefit retails for £18,745, which is about $31,500 as of 8/5/2014.

To celebrate the opening of the DS World Paris on November 27th, Citroen prepared the special-edition DS3 that it dubbed the DS World Paris. The model will be displayed exclusively in Paris and will be limited to only 15 units.
The model was inspired by Art Deco architecture, and it reflects the French artisanal expertise. It is coated exclusively in matte ash grey combined with a Trinitario brown for the roof and wing mirror shells. Another special feature on this special DS3 is the new set of 17-inch wheels with a unique diamond effect.
For the interior, Citroen added seats wrapped in Trinitario brown Nappa leather with beige stitching. Citroen also made use of the same leather for the dashboard insert, gear lever handle and central armrest. Each unit also gets a specially numbered "DS World Paris" badge crafted in Burgundy oak.
There is no mention of what powers this DS3, nor does Citroen mention a price or release date.

Citroen Cactus Concept is not the only vehicle that the French manufacturer is going to unveil at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Now, Citroen is announcing that it will also update the current DS lineup with the addition of a new package called Faubourg Addict.
It takes its inspiration from the Numero 9 concept and, according to the first details, it promises to deliver "Parisian luxury." Citroen will apply this special edition to all DS models, including the DS3, DS4 and DS5.
The new Faubourg Addict package will include a new exterior color called "Whisper" combined with a deep black with subtle purple nuances, and a DS signature on the monogram canvas roof. The model also receives new, laser-engraved wing mirror housings and sits on jewellery Diamond-effect wheels with Whisper-colored centers coordinated with the body paint.

Citroen will be further expanding itsDS4 lineup with the addition of a new Electro Shot special edition that is will unveil at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The new Electro Shot will be built on the DStyle trim level and introduces the classic two-tone finish to the DS4 lineup.
The model combines gray exterior paint with a gloss-black roof and spoiler, plus chrome-finished door mirrors. The model will come with a set of black 17-inch alloy wheels. The interior will add leather seats, lots of metallic accents and a high-end infotainment system.
Citroen offered no details on the engine, but we are pretty sure the new DS4 Electro Shot will be offered with a 1.6-liter HDi 160 engine that will deliver a total of 110 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque.
The new DS4 Electro Shot will be the first Citroen model to be produced by the new customization workshop at the company’s Mulhouse production site.
Citroen has unveiled a special edition Citroen DS3 Cabrio during Fashion Week in Milan. Dubbed the "L’Uomo Voque," this special-edition vehicle was specially designed by the Italian magazine L’Uomo Vogue and Citroen’s styling team. The new edition will be auctioned off and all of the proceeds will go to the Women Create Life project — an NGO that, through art and culture, supports and fosters initiatives to improve the health conditions of women and children.
The new DS3 Cabrio "L’Uomo Voque" special edition is painted in a stunning Stardust matte grey combined with a canvas roof covered in subtle motifs that reinterpret the monogram canvas. A special DS logo has been laser engraved on the mirror housings to further remind you that this is indeed a special-edition DS3.
For the interior, Citroen offers seats covered in BlackBrown watchstrap Club leather, the dashboard and front panels are trimmed with the same leather combined with a pearl-effect stitching.
The New Year has brought two special editions to the Citroen lineup: DS3 DStyle Red & DSport Red. The two special editions will be based on DStyle and DSport trim levels, and are now on sale with prices ranging from £15,655 ($25,450 at the current exchange rates) to £18,060 ($29,300).
The two models are offered in either Polar White or Perla Nera Black body colors combined with red insertions on the hood, door mirrors, front grille and chevrons. The two special editions come with 16-inch Ashera alloy wheels painted DStyle Red models and 17-inch Bellone alloy wheels for the DSport Red versions. For both models, the wheels can be ordered in either white or black.
The same combination is also used on the interior, where Citroen installed a "Connect Signature" package that adds Bluetooth and USB connectivity, an enhanced Hi-Fi system and additional speakers for superior sound quality.
Under the hood the two special editions offer both petrol and diesel engines, but only a 6-speed manual transmission is available.
Seeing as the Paris Motor Show is the home auto show of Citroen, it’s pretty obvious that they’re going to bring a whole load of vehicles to the event.
With a little over a week before the doors to the event officially open, the French automaker is slowly unveiling their Paris-bound line-up, including a pair of special edition DS models carrying the "Pure Pearl" special edition designation.
One of these models is the DS4 Pure Pearl, which, as the name suggests, comes finished with a pearlescent white body color to go with touches of gloss chrome detailing and a new set of 18" alloy wheels. Other unique features of the DS4 Pure Pearl include an interior that’s been dressed in a watchstrap-style club leather upholstery that has been complemented with blue over-stitching.
For this particular model of the DS4, Citroen decided to give it a more powerful 1.6-liter HDi 160 engine instead of the standard model’s HDi 110 engine. What that means is that the DS4 Pure Pearl Edition comes packed with a tidy 110 horsepower and 199 lb/ft of torque and mated to an automatic transmission.
It’s not going to blow a lot of cars on the road, but for a hatchback of its caliber, it sure has plenty of promise.
French automaker, Citroen, is probably most famous in the auto and racing circles for its dominance in the world of rally racing and in particular, it’s tie-up with 8-time WRC champ, Sebastien Loeb. So it only made sense that Citroen is bringing a special edition model of their DS3 Racing model to the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The DS3 Sebastien Loeb SE model will be made available after Geneva at a still undisclosed price and will be limited to only 200 units.
On the aesthetic front, Citroen gave the car a special matte black paint finish - always a positive thing - with matching red graphics on the roof that pay homage to Loeb and all his career accomplishments in WRC. Likewise, the mirror caps, the grill rush, the fascia panel, and the base of the gear lever have all been decked in a red Arden finish.
Finally, the interior of the car gets a special numbered plaque signed by both Loeb and Daniel Elena celebrating their 8 championships in WRC with a corresponding numerical assignment on what model number the car is in relation to all 200 units.
You can expect to see the DS3 Racing Sebastien Loeb Special Edition at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show where it will be on hand together with the rest of Citroen’s contingent.
A year after Citroen pulled the covers off of the C3 Red Block Concept at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the French automaker is returning to the same event with the production version of the model, appropriately called the "C3 Red Block Special Edition."
The car will be part of a strong delegation for the Frenchies with the C3 Red Block Special Edition carrying some of the distinctive characteristics that were done on the concept version. The model will be made available in five different paint finishes - Shark Blue with a matching bumper strip, Banquise White, Aluminum Grey, Manitoba Grey, and Obsidian Black with a gloss black bumper strip. On top of the plethora of hues buyers can choose from, the C3 Red Block Special Edition will also sport a modified steering wheel system, a set of new 17" diamond-effect rims wrapped in 205/40 tires, a modified chassis, and a lowered suspension set-up that drops the car’s ride height by 25mm.
Inside, the C3 Red Block Special Edition gets treated to some fancy make-overs, particularly the gloss black dashboard fascia, which adds a certain panache to the car. There are also aluminum-finished pedals and front door surrounds, a smaller sports steering wheel, and as an option to prospective buyers, red leather upholstery.
Engine options are also part of the offering for the special edition C3. For this bad boy, customers can opt to choose from an e-HDi 90 diesel, an e-HDi 100 diesel, and a VTi 120 petrol engine, with the respective outputs ranging from 90-120 horsepower.
One of the most impressive Citroens ever launched - the DS3 - is now being offered in a "Grey Matter" limited edition. The special edition will only be limited to 750 units and will be offered in VTi 120 and THP 150 versions, priced at €23,400 and €24,950 ex-VAT respectively.
The new DS3 "Grey Matter" edition will be distinguished by a matte gray body with chrome detailing on the side mirrors, side strips, and tail light casings. The roof comes in black or white and is enhanced by a decorative kit and 17-inch diamond alloy wheels in the same colors.
For the interior, the special edition will get Mistral leather and a MyWay Select Comfort Pack, which includes automatic climate control, the MyWay navigation system, and the HiFi system.
The DS3 Grey Matter will have two engines to choose from: the VTi 120 version which gets a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine with 148 HP and a THP 120 model that will be powered by a four-cylinder engine with an output of 154 HP.
Citroen is further expanding its DS3 line-up with the addition of the Series Noire set to be revealed in just a few days at the Geneva Motor Show. There will be only 750 units built, based on either the THP 150 and HDi 110 engines. Prices will start at €24,750 - or about $33,800 at the current exchange rates.
The "Serie Noire" edition will be distinguished by matte black bodywork, a shiny black roof, 17-inch black, diamond-tipped Bellone wheels, a chrome-plated rubbing strip, and chrome-plated door mirror housings.
On the interior, the model will add Mistral/Lama leather upholstery with the fascia trim, air vent surrounds, interior door handle trim, and gear lever knob in the same shiny black color found on the roof. Standard equipment will include a MyWay navigation system and a HiFi system.
No modifications have been made under the hood, but with the added perks, this special edition gets a bit closer to the more powerful DS3-R model.
