The SEMA show will bring in a lot of automakers and aftermarket companies this year. The latter benefits more from it as they are overshadowed by big automakers that generally have dedicated entire auto shows solely to them.

This year, Ford has decided to bring in a set of concepts based on the Ranger. The company has teamed up with many players and has come up with trucks catering to different segments. The trucks will be showcased at the 2019 SEMA Show that’s set to kick off on November the 5th.

Ford Ranger RTR Rambler

The Rambler Ranger joins the RTR’s range of Mustang and F-150 builds. This concept truck serves as an overlanding and support vehicle, or at least that's what we are told. The truck has been designed for adventurous people as it comes with stuff like the SkyRise tent and snowboard support capsule, just to name a couple. The most noteworthy upgrade in terms of mechanicals is the Ford Performance off-road suspension leveling kit that raises the truck by two inches.

-* SkyRise tent and integrated snowboard support capsule

-* Fox tuned Ford Performance off-road suspension leveling kit with a two-inch lift

-* Underbody rock protection

-* Custom RTR fenders that house RTR Tech 6 wheels

-* 33-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires

Yakima Ford Ranger

This is the next Overlanding vehicle that Ford will bring to SEMA this year. Ford’s latest collaboration with an aftermarket company, announced mainly for the Bronco, has resulted in a Ranger with Yakima accessories. Yakima is a Pacific Northwest-based company that is known for its adventure-related accessories. It has been in existence for almost 50 years now. Yakima has worked on the Ranger to create an all-sports adventure truck. It comes with a few mechanical changes but a lot of added accessories.

The exterior looks have been beefed up by switching to RPG bumpers, adding a new set of side steps, and a Warn winch. Yakima Ranger rides on Fuel Recoil off-road wheels covered in 33-inch BFGoodrich tires. The other stuff includes a Kayak mount and a four-bike carrier. Is it better than the RTR Rambler Ford Ranger? Certainly looks like it.

-* All-new Fox tuned by Ford Performance off-road suspension leveling kit providing a two-inch front lift

-* Recovery kit, cat-back exhaust, and rear differential cover

-* RPG bumpers and side steps

-* Warn winch and Rigid lighting

-* Fuel Recoil off-road wheels with 33-inch BFGoodrich T/A KO2 tires

-* Truck bed rack, JayLow kayak mount and HangOver vertical four bike carrier with BackSwing mount

Ford Ranger Advanced Accessory Concepts

Ford’s next partner-in-crime is Advanced Accessory Concepts, and the tuner has laid its hands on the 2019 Ford Ranger XLT. The company has turned the truck into a hardcore off-roader that you wouldn’t hesitate to take it anywhere. The truck bed has been swapped for and AFN aluminum tray bed with its own canopy. Advanced Accessory Concepts has also raised the truck by 3.5 inches and slapped Vector wheels on it. To make it all the more desirable, this particular Ford Ranger is fitted with a Tepui Hybox tent and a classic 50-quart refrigerator by ARB.

-* AFN bumpers, skid plate, rock sliders, and Ford Performance rear differential cover

-* AFN aluminum tray bed with canopy

-* Warn Zeon Platinum 10-S winch

-* Icon 3.5-inch lift kit

-* Vector wheels

-* Tepui Hybox tent

-* 50-quart refrigerator by ARB

Hellwig Ford Ranger

This Ranger is the go-to vehicle for you outdoor adventure aficionados out there. On the outside, the Addictive Desert Designs rock sliders and bumpers, Rigid lighting, and Bushwacker fender flares differentiate it from the standard Ranger. Thanks to the 3.5-inch Icon suspension, 17-inch Icon Compression wheels, and Falken tires, you can take this truck to unimaginable places. Although it seems pretty rugged, the truck has a tender heart. It features Goal Zero solar power that allows users to be friendly towards the environment by reducing their carbon footprint. Other add-ons like the Tepui hard-shell tent and Trail Kitchens stove on a bed slide round off this list.

-* 3.5-inch Icon suspension

Ford Ranger With Ford Performance Parts

Can the automaker go without having its very own fully-designed truck among the other concepts? Hell, no! Here’s the company’s in-house Ranger that slots itself into the overlanding section. The truck is heavy on lighting and we’ve listed all the add-ons below. To make the truck look even better, Ford has mounted a Warn winch on the front bumper, a heavy-duty recovery kit, and red tow hooks. The other add-ons include the Tepui Hybox rooftop tent, a Decked truck bed storage system, ARB Elements refrigerator and freezer, and ActionTrax recovery boards. This concept is our personal favorite of the lot.

Ford Ranger by Tjin

The biggest highlight of this concept is that unlike other trucks that get a lift job, this has been lowered. How often do you see a low-riding, “down-to-earth” truck roaming on the streets? The truck rides on JR’s 20-inch Rotiform wheels wrapped in Falken tires. The other exterior options include RTR grille and fenders and triangle LED lights amongst a host of other things. It comes with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine with a Roush Performance intake, a Ford Performance cat-back exhaust, differential cover, and Baer six-piston brake calipers.

-* 2.3-liter EcoBoost Engine

-* Roush Performance Intake

-* Ford Performance cat-back exhaust

-* RPG front-mounted intercooler

-* Air suspension to lower the truck by eight and nine millimeters at the front and back respectively

-* JR’s 20-inch Rotiform LHR-M three-piece wheels wrapped in Falken tires

-* RTR fender flares and RTR grille with triangle LED lights

-* Wood bed floor

-* Rigid fog lights and Lumens bed lights

-* Recaro Sportster CS seats

Final Thoughts

This is a very big step for Ford moving forward. The aftermarket accessories sales are booming at a phenomenal rate and it’s the right time for Ford to pitch in. Jeep is the prime example of this one. As it turns out, a Wrangler customer spends approximately $800 to fit his or her SUV with the accessories Jeep and Mopar have to offer, whereas a Gladiator customer spends around $1,000 on an average for the same purpose. The reason behind this is the availability of accessories right from the launch of the truck. Jeep had earlier stated that 90 percent of the accessories compatible with the 2020 Gladiator was available at the Jeep dealerships as soon as the truck went on sale.

If Ford can replicate the same as soon as possible, it will help the company when it launches the next-gen Ford F-150 and the upcoming Bronco. The Blue Oval has teamed up with Yakima, an aftermarket company, to develop accessories for the Bronco. Like we've mentioned on multiple occasions earlier, Ford is going all berserk on Jeep’s ass especially with the upcoming Bronco. What’s next, Ford? A standalone event like the Easter Jeep Safari?
