Fast forward to the 21st century and it's FCA's official manufacturer of performance parts and accessories. What MAkes the Dodge Challenger 10-Year Commemoration by Mopar Special?

This limited edition Challenger is based on the R/T Scat Pack trim, so it already has a sportier exterior with beefed-up bumpers and hood. On top of that, Mopar added exclusive Shakedown graphics and asymmetrical Mopar Blue center stripes that run from the nose, over the roof, and to the deck lid. The commemorative model also comes with the cool Shaker hood and quick-release pins.

The coupe rides on 20-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in Goodyear performance tires as standard and sports Mopar-branded center caps, valve stem caps, and wheel locks. The downside is that this Challenger is only available in two colors: Pitch Black and White Knuckle. If you're a fan of flashy colors from the golden muscle car era, you're better off with a regular Challenger trim.

The interior features minor touches that set the car apart without making it too flashy. The sporty cloth seats feature two-tone Mopar logos embroidered into the back, while the passenger-side air vents boasts a Mopar '19 badge. The standard floor mats were replaced with premium Berber mats, while door sills are polished and feature Challenger logos.

What about power? Well, this Mopar-prepped Challenger is a standard R/T Scat Pack under the hood. It features the same 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine rated at 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque mated to either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission (optional). Don't be disappointed quite yet. While the engine may be as stock as they get, Mopar did add a cold air intake for enhanced cooling, new strut tower braces for increased rigidity and sharper handling, and Brembo disc brakes at all corners (with flashy red calipers).

Performance-wise, it needs the same 4.5 seconds to hit 60 mph from a standing start, to go with a top speed of 182 mph.

How much for this special-edition Challenger you ask? Dodge wants $45,835, which accounts for a $5,590 premium over the Challenger R/T Scat Pack is it based on. That's almost $5,600 for decals, embroidery, badges, and minor changes under the shell. It doesn't sound like a bargain, but Mopar enthusiasts are probably willing to pay for such items.
