People Are Going Crazy Over The 2021 Dodge Durango Hellcat
When Dodge launched the Durango’s 710-horsepower alter-ego, it took the auto world by storm. The automaker made it clear that it would be a limited-run model and production for the same would last for just six months. But, thanks to the crazy demand for this three-row monster, Dodge has decided to extend the production timeframe before taking the model off the assembly lines in June 2021, according to Mopar Insiders.
If 700 Horsepower Isn’t Enough, Hennessey Can Bost Your Dodge Durrango to 1000+ Horsepower
After coming up with the 6x6 version of the world’s fastest and quickest production pickup truck, the Ram 1500 TRX, there was a lot of curiosity surrounding Hennessey’s next project. As it turns out, the company chose the world’s most powerful production SUV this time to give it a typical Hennessey twist. The aftermarket company has announced that it will be coming up with a 1,000-plus-horsepower iteration of the 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat.
The 2021 Dodge Durango Is About More Than a Facelift Thanks to the New 710-Horsepower SRT Hellcat Trim
The current-gen Durango has been in the running for a decade now, and it was high time for the fourth-gen to make its debut. However, the company announced that it’ll just be a facelift. But, after seeing the 2021 Durango “facelift”, we are not complaining because this is even better than the next-gen stuff.
Apart from the exterior and cabin upgrades, Dodge has added an SRT trim to the Durango’s lineup that brings with it the Hellcat engine. The Durango equipped with this mill will make a mammoth 710 horses that will allow the heavy family hauler to sprint to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds! Well, this a fourth of July present from FCA that we’ll gleefully accept.
Dodge Needs Money, So the Durango Hellcat is a Top Priority
Like most automakers these days, Dodge is bleeding money in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic that has gripped the whole world. And like most automakers, Dodge is reopening its business in an attempt to stem the tide and bring some much-needed cash flow back to its coffers. A big part of that plan, at least according to Mopar Insiders, is to prioritize the launch of the Dodge Durango.

These days, the “Hellcat” name is synonymous with power, and that holds true with the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody. Much like the standard Hellcat, this Charger sits in a very small bubble that includes cars like the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, Chevy Corvette Stingray, and even the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye. It’s the unique, four-door configuration that really made the Charger Hellcat stand out, and the widebody model takes that to the next level. Make no mistake, the Widebody charger isn’t just an aesthetic package, and we got to experience just what it has to offer. Vin Diesel Gives Us a Sneak Peak at the Dodge Charger from Fast 9
Fast & Furious 9 is hitting theaters on May 20, 2020. That’s literally eight months from today. At this point, the production of the movie is in full swing — it’s now in its 13th week — and, according to a video posted by Vin Diesel on his Instagram account, it appears that we should brace ourselves for a #202020 hashtag at some point in the movie’s publicity tour.
After all, the franchise will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year, so the hashtag pretty much writes itself. Notwithstanding that little nugget, the Instagram video also revealed one of the most important stars of Fast 9. It’s not Vin Diesel or Michelle Rodriguez. It’s the heavily customized Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat that Diesel will be driving in the movie.
One look at the Charger in the video and you’ll know that it’s not your typical Dodge sports car. That’s one of the great things about the Fast and Furious franchise. Imaginations can run wild in all facets of the movie, and that extends to the actual cars that you’ll see in it.
Wallpaper of the Day: 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye
The modern-day Dodge Demon is officially out of production, but in its place comes the Challenger Hellcat Redeye – a model that essentially bridges the gap between the range-topping hellcat and the late Demon. It’s powered by the same 6.2-liter V-8, but it’s been tuned to deliver 797 horsepower at 6,300 rpm. Torque figures carry over from the standard Hellcat at 707 pound-feet, but the Redeye benefits from lots of Demon gear, including things like line-lock and launch control. Sure, we would have been happier if Dodge introduced a second-gen Challenger for 2019 but this is at least one way to keep things fresh, right? A Crazy Russian Artist Rendered a Dodge Challenger-Based SUV and We Can’t Unsee it
You would think that a car as iconic as the Dodge Challenger would be immune to the whimsical minds of those who render “what-if” vehicles for a pastime. But as is often the case in the auto industry, perception isn’t always reality. No car is immune to the creativity of renderers, especially when there’s an opportunity to present Dodge’s iconic muscle car in a whole new light, like, say, an SUV. This is the Dodge Challenger SUV, folks, as presented by our mates over at Kolesa.ru. It’s probably not what you expected, but the rendering is interesting, to say the least. Heaven forbid that Dodge sees this and decides that it wants to build. A rendering of a Dodge Challenger SUV is fine; building a real one is not. Don’t fall to the temptation, Dodge!
Ah, the infamous and now defunct Dodge Viper. Once the most prominent American sports cars in history, it now lives on in our minds because Dodge was too cheap to design side airbags that would actually fit inside the cabin. Oh well, that’s now, but today we’re looking back at what is, arguably, the best version of the Viper that ever existed: the 2003-2010, third-gen model. Powered by an odd-firing 8.3-liter V-10, the Roadster delivered 500 horsepower and 525 pound-feet of torque while the coupe got a mild bump up to 510 ponies and 535 pound-feet. All of that lovely power was channeled to the rear wheels via a Tremec T56 manual transmission. This amazing piece of gorgeous history could hit 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and 100 mph in 8.3 seconds in roadster form. The coupe made the same 100-mph sprint but got to 60 mph one-tenth of a second faster. The beautiful and timeless design has been coming back to us a lot lately, so we decided to make it our wallpaper of the day. We’ve hand-picked some pretty cool images so go ahead and give the old SRT 10 a little bit of screen love with us.
2019 Dodge Charger
Dodge vehicles have always been known for their bold, in-your-face looks. To spice things up a little, Dodge has decided to bring back the lime green color that was seen on almost all the Dodge cars in the 1970s, and it’ll do so at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show. With the 2020 Ford Shelby GT500 and the Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE being in the news lately, is this a move out of desperation? Perhaps, Dodge has taken up the ’challenge’ to ’charge’ its range. Bad pun, eh?

Introduced as part of Dodge’s “Big Finish” campaign, the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Sleigh stars in a new commercial called “Upgrade” alongside retired WWE wrestler Bill Goldberg, who happens to play a pretty jacked-up Santa Claus. With muscles coming out of his ears, Santa decides to keep with the profile this holiday season by commissioning his elves to make improvements to his current sleigh. The result, as you can see, is a sleigh that’s going to make a lot of pony car enthusiasts wish they had the means to do the same thing.

Dodge is Showing A Bit of Self-Awareness in New Advertisement
A new advertisement for the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon claims that it’s the world’s fastest 0-100-mph production car, at least when you take out “non-mass production vehicles” and “hybrid/electric” vehicles out of the equation. The self-aware advertisement is hilarious on so many levels, not the least of which is Dodge admitting that the Challenger SRT Demon isn’t faster than the Tesla Model S.
