DR Motors isn’t exactly well-known considering they were just founded in 2006 and currently only have two SUVs (DR3 and DR5) and one city car (DR1) under their belt, but their name may just start to be uttered more frequently with a new and faster addition to their lineup. DR boss, Massimo Di Risio, recently attended the Bologna Motor Show with an announcement of a future super car: the DR Sprint. Sound odd considering there isn’t even a sports car in their lineup? Well, yes, but Di Risio’s ties with Saleen may have a little to do with this.

The DR Sprint will be a rear-engined model - not front-engined as previously rumored - and will put out an impressive 750hp. These facts, along with the sketch provided that ends a nod over to the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, lead us to believe that Di Risio may have etched this plan straight from the American supercar. Add the fact that Di Risio serves as the official importer for the S7 in Italy and we have ourselves a solid hypothesis. Either way, the DR Sprint looks aggressive and sporty; two key factors needed for a successful model. 750 rushing ponies doesn’t hurt either.

The new DR Sprint will make its official debut at the Top Marques Monaco, the prestigious motoring event dedicated to luxury cars, scheduled for April 14th-17th, 2011. We’ll bring more details for the DR Sprint at that time.

It looks nice on that red and black paint plus the wheels is amazing and impressive. Like the front bumpers design, plus the roof scoop is great for this car.

Another futuristic car, very aggressive, powerful, dominant and interesting. DR Sprint has an advanced set up, very solid outlook. Everything is just perfect.

@AndersonStone. How can you say that? If the competition is with Zonda or even Koegnisegg, this can surely win. This is not as horrible as it looks and aside from that, we don’t know much more about this 2012 DR Sprint.

Look so ridiculous! You can’t even compare this one to Koenigsegg or Zonda.
Those car have a out of this world design but still look aggressive but with this car its totally ugly!

awful looking car. they haven’t include the details about the car yet but for sure many are waiting for it. the design is good but not the much appealing compare to the aventador and ford GT.

Lovely does it? I like the front bumpers design. the vent is positioned perfectly to give a high impact on aggressiveness of the car. plus the roof scoop is great for this car.

yes it looks great and aggressive but for me I’d choose the Porsche GT3 RS than the Aventador. Porsche can be used as a daily car because of the car’s height while the aventador is not.

it looks great but, I would rather wait for the Aventador.. well alteast Lambo car are already tried and tested lets just hope that they have the same price as the Sprint. maybe this one is a lot cheaper than aventator.
