This Is Definitely What The Tesla Cybertruck Should Look Like
The Tesla Cybertruck is, without question, one of the most polarizing vehicles in recent memory. It doesn’t abide by traditional design norms of a pickup truck, and yet, it’s the audacity in Tesla’s design that has kept the Cybertruck in the headlines.
Tesla got us talking about the Cybertruck more than most vehicles, and, at least to a select few, it jump-started enough creative juices that we get to see different renderings and “interpretations” of Tesla’s upcoming all-electric. One of these interpretations comes to us by way of automotive 3D concept artist Shubbak 3D.
Mercedes-Benz EQC 4x4²
Not too long ago, the Mercedes G-Class 4x4² was spotted undergoing high-altitude testing in the Alps, thus confirming the return of the alter-ego version of the luxurious off-roader.
While we were expecting to hear more about it, Mercedes decided to divert our attention from it by introducing a 4×4² concept version of its all-electric SUV, the EQC. To put it simply the EQC 4×4² is the off-road version of the standard EQC. Do we need something like this at a time when Mercedes is still trying to find its feet in the electric segment?
The Lucid Air, In Base Form, Is Pretty Impressive
It’s been just over a month since the Lucid Air was launched. Expected to go head-to-head against the Tesla Model S, the Air came with features and specs that could put the former to shame. However, these specs were offered on the top trims and they were priced well over Model S’ trims (barring the Tri-motor Plaid model).
Although it seemed impressive, the biggest question was how would the base trim be spec’d considering it is more in line with the pricing of Tesla’s flagship product. While the details were not revealed back at the time of the Air’s official unveil, Lucid has finally thrown some light on what to expect from this sub-$80,000 model. Will the potential Model S buyers make a switch to the Lucid Air?
The Audi E-Tron GT Isn’t Here Yet, But an E-Tron GT RS Is Already In the Works
Tesla is still ruling the electric sedan field with the incredible Model S, but the American carmaker is now facing competition from Porsche, which is already offering the Taycan. Audi will join the battle soon with the e-tron GT and we just learned that the German company is also working on a hardcore RS version of the all-electric four-door. The e-tron GT is scheduled to go into production in 2020, so Audi will unveil the EV by the end of the year.

Future Dodge SRT Hellcat Models Will Be Electrified
FCA has let the cat out of the bag, showcasing the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat, the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, and the Challenger SRT Super Stock. Drag Race Battle - Ferrari 812 Superfast Versus Tesla Model X P100D
On paper, an SUV should have no business competing against a supercar in a drag race. But the cars in question, a Ferrari 812 Superfast and a Tesla Model X P100D, aren’t exactly too far apart in the performance category. One produces 588 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque, while the other has 790 horsepower and 530 pound-feet of torque on tap. Line them side-by-side on a drag strip and the question of who wins isn’t as ridiculous as it sounds. Buick’s Future Is Looking Pretty Bright Thanks to the Electra Concept
Although General Motors is selling a couple of electric cars, none of them are coming into showrooms with a Buick badge. But this will change soon because Buick just unveiled an all-electric concept that previews at least one production model. It’s called the Electra, a name Buick used on an iconic full-size car produced from 1959 to 1990, which means it’s a very important project for the brand. Unveiled in Shanghai, it’s developed by GM’s Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center in China, it debuts a new design language, and features an advanced battery system called Ultium.

GM Could Be Teasing Cadillac’s Next Large EV
General Motors has posted a very interesting and, uhm, sharp….. sketch to its Instagram account depicting what is clearly a Cadillac and what could be a larger SUV or, perhaps, even a pickup truck. But, see, that’s the real tease, as GM has posted this baby with absolutely no context outside of the words “lean & mean” – at least 50-percent of which doesn’t make sense.
You Probably Can’t Take the Tesla Model S Plaid To The Track
With what we’re guessing to be a 130-kWh battery, 1,100 horsepower, and a 0-60 mph sprint of less than two seconds, the Tesla Model S Plaid is – probably – the most extreme production car of the year. It is at least three-tenths of a second faster than the Model S performance and nearly two seconds quicker than the base Long Range Plus model. Add in the 200-mph top speed, and you have the most impressive electric vehicle made thus far and something that could be quite dangerous if left in the wrong hands, and that’s kind of what we’re here to talk about today.
