Check Out What The Rivian R1T Can Do With Christmas Lights
Like many other automakers, Rivian is also in the Christmas spirit. The automaker used its R1T pickup truck to power 20,000 Christmas lights and make it a ‘lit’ night for families at the Timber Pointe Outdoor Center. Obviously, it caught everyone’s attention. It wasn’t a subtle Christmas ad, say, like Ford’s Griswold ad, but it at least showed off the truck’s potential. If only we knew how long it can power so many lights.
2021 Alpha Ace EV
New electric vehicles generally have a futuristic, unorthodox design language that sets them apart from the present horde of fuel-powered vehicles. But Alpha Motor Corporation has turned the clock back to build a car that seems to belong to the 60s or the 70s. Dubbed as the Ace, this little coupe comes with a minimalistic cabin and an estimated range of over 250 miles.

Check Out the Ford F-150 Electric As It Plays In The Snow
Now that the 2021 Ford F-150 is out of the box, the company can focus (pun unintended) on developing the electric version of the truck. It’s been in the works for quite some time now, but the first time we saw it in action – and that also officially confirmed its presence – was when Tesla challenged it to a towing capacity test and the electric F-150 allegedly towed over a million pounds. Apart from that, the company teased the truck a few months back along with the announcement of the new Rogue facility.
But, it seems like the company has already starting hyping it up. Ford released a teaser video that showcases the electric F-150 playing on ice like it’s no one else’s business.
Throwback:Nissan Says Merry Christmas By Turning the Leaf into a Rolling Christmas Tree
The Nissan Leaf is taking on a different form in time for the holiday season. For this specific occasion, Nissan converted a Leaf electric hatch into a fully lit Christmas tree, complete with 190 meters of utensil, over 15,000 lights, and, well, a reindeer.
No longer called the Nissan Leaf, the Japanese automaker dubbed its creation the Nissan Tree, a fitting homage to the Yuletide season that’s coming. For obvious reasons, the Nissan Tree is not for sale so don’t start asking Santa Claus for one.
The Ford Mach-E Saves Christmas for the Griswolds
Remember the famous Christmas lights scene from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation? Well, the Griswolds are back after two decades to reprise that scene, with the only change being the addition of a Ford Mustang Mach-E this time. Ford has roped in Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo to play Clark Griswold and Ellen from the Christmas-themed movie. Does Griswold manage to have a drama-free Christmas this time at least?
2021 Elation Dogo 001 Hypercar
We hear about new electric hypercars every other day, but the next update comes after many months or even years. That’s not the case with Elation and its offering. The Northern California-based automaker revealed renderings of its first hypercar, the Freedom, around a month back, and is already following up on it before people forget about it. Elation has showcased a few images of the first prototype of the Freedom called the Dogo 001 and it gives us a glimpse of the future. Are you ready for the Freedom?
Toyota Chief Akio Toyoda Thinks Mass Transition to EVs Could Be a Very Bad Thing
A complete transition to EVs is inevitable whether we like it or not. When enthusiasts complain about moving to electric vehicles, it’s one thing; but when an automaker says the same, it isn’t exactly the right thing.
Toyota’s CEO, Akio Toyoda, recently said that electric vehicles are overhyped and could cost hundreds of billions of dollars to make the switch. This, coming from the CEO of a company that hasn’t been at the forefront of electrification sounds like a case of sour grapes, doesn’t it?
New Report Says The Apple Car Will Arrive in 2021, But We’re Not Holding Our Breath
Apple was one of the earliest adopters of autonomous technology in cars and even received permission to test them on public roads in the U.S. in 2017. This was after it shelved its plan to build a car. In fact, a test mule was spotted around that time in form of a Lexus RX, which made this a not-so-secret tech that Apple was working on. But, in 2019, the company let off 200 people from the team working on the autonomous technology, thus igniting rumors of this tech going down, too.
Fast forward to the present day, a report suggests that the Apple car is very much alive and is, in fact, two years ahead of its schedule. However, no evidence or proof is backing this claim.
The Audi RS6 Avant Goes Head-to-Head With The Tesla Model 3 In An Interesting Series Of Races
There are enough and more internal combustion-engined versus electric vehicle races on YouTube and most of them end up having the EV beat its rival quite comfortably. But, this time, things could be a little different seeing the cars and their specs on paper.
The folks at Carwow decided to pit the Tesla Model 3 against the Audi RS6 Avant. The Model 3 has beaten some of the most loved cars in the past in straight-line races, but could things be any different this time?
Bollinger B1 and B2 Revised - Real Body on Frame, Real Boxy
Bollinger was one of the first automakers to enter the electric pickup truck segment. The company introduced the B1 SUV and the B2 pickup truck a few years back, and they looked quite boxy and old-school, a little too quirky and retro when compared to the fluid designs of the new segment entrants. But, as is with any concept vehicle, the production version comes out looking a little more sedate and mainstream. The Bollinger twins are no exception.
The automaker revealed a few renderings of both the EVs and despite the changes, they look quite good.
The Audi Landjet Will Lead the Way Into The Tech-Filled Autonomous Future
As we prepare to close 2020 and welcome in 2021, it’s time to start familiarizing ourselves with a name that could dominate the headlines in the upcoming year. The name is “Landjet,” and it is the internal codename of a new flagship electric vehicle that the Volkswagen Group is developing for a lot of its brands.
Yes, the Landjet isn’t limited to a single make or manufacturer; it’s being developed as an all-encompassing premium zero-emissions vehicle for Audi, Bentley, and Porsche. Different versions of the Landjet — depending on the automaker — will come out, though all versions will ride on the same modular PPE platform that Audi and Porsche developed for large vehicles.
Aptera’s Three-Wheeled EV Could Be the Future That We Were Promised
Electrification is nothing short of a paradigm shift in the auto industry. It has created an opening for startups to make an entry into the industry because every automaker has to start from the bottom here. Thanks to this, we’ve seen numerous new companies like Rivian, Lordstown, Fisker, etc. that have the potential to make it big because they have come up with unique, breathtaking technologies.
Unlike most EV startups that come up with a four-digit-horsepower super or hypercar, a new automaker called Aptera has introduced a three-wheeled electric vehicle. While that itself is enough to grab attention, what makes it stand out is that it is a “Never Charge” vehicle. Talk about countering the range anxiety issue!
