The Jeep Wrangler nameplate has been around for nearly four decades. For the longest time, it dominated the segment and brushed off any competition that tried to stand up against it. The Ford Bronco has turned up as a true-blue competitor to the mighty off-roader, but Jeep has managed to fend off the attack to an extent by introducing a V-8 engine. That story is for another day.

The Wrangler is offered in two-door and four-door models. At the time of penning this, the 2022 Wrangler is available in 12 trims, whereas the 2023 model is available in nine trims. While all the Wranglers are offered in four-door avatars, not all of them are available with just two doors. So, here’s a list of all the 2023 Wranglers that can be had in two-door configurations:

Jeep Wrangler Sport - $30,295

The entry-level Wrangler trim is offered in 11 exterior shades. As is with most Stellantis products, the Wrangler is also backed by Mopar and its hundreds of products for the off-roader. It comes with removable doors and a roof as well. The Wrangler Sport rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 245/75 section all-season tires as standard. The cabin is offered in either a black theme, or a black/heritage tan scheme. A seven-inch touchscreen system is offered as standard.

The Wrangler Sport is offered with a 3.6-liter, V-6 Pentastar engine as standard. It puts out 285 horses and 260 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, but can be mated to an eight-speed gearbox. There’s a decent list of off-road gear, too, like a Dana solid front axle and a heavy-duty rear axle, and front and rear diffs. The 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sport starts at $30,295 whereas the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sport starts at $29,995.

Jeep Wrangler Willys Sport - $33,000

The Wrangler Willys Sport is nearly identical to the Sport trim. In terms of aesthetics and creature comforts, there’s nothing different, but there are some differences in terms of off-road equipment. For starters, instead of a conventional rear diff, the Willys Sport comes with an anti-spin rear diff as standard. The Willys Sport rides on a different set of 17-inch wheels wrapped in slightly wider 255/75 section rubber.

The Jeep Wrangler Willys also comes with the Pentastar V-6 and a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. And, like the other models, it can be had with a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-pot diesel engine. The same Pentastar engine can be had with a mild-hybrid setup, too, that adds low-end torque that’ll come in handy when starting off the line or when rock crawling. The 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys Sport starts at $33,000 and the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Willys Sport starts at $32,450.

Jeep Wrangler Sport S - $33,890

The Wrangler Sport S is next in line and it comes with almost the same features and specs as the previous models. It rides on 17-inch wheels with a different finish. They come wrapped in 245/75 section all-season tires, but all-terrain tires are available, too. In terms of the feature list, the standard set is pretty much the same, but a lot more optional stuff opens up. For starters, you can add heated front seats, a bigger 8.4-inch touchscreen system with navigation, automatic climate control, etc.

In terms of mechanicals, there are a few changes. Unlike the Willys Sport model, the anti-spin rear diff is optional here and the conventional rear diff is standard. While the Command-Trac Part-time 4WD system is standard, you can buy the 2.72:1 Selec-Trac Full-Time 4WD System as well. The 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sport S starts at $33,890 whereas the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sport S can be yours for $33,195.

Jeep Wrangler Willys - $37,285

The Wrangler Willys is barely any different from the Sport S. The only changes are on the outside where you get some Willys decals and a new set of wheels wrapped in 255/75 section tires. The creature comforts, the stuff under the skin, everything is the same as the Sport S. The Pentastar engine is standard here, too, but you can also have the diesel mill also. This 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-mill puts out 270 horses and 295 pound-feet of torque. The 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys starts at $37,285 whereas the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Willys starts at $36,445.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon - $42,595

The Rubicon is the most rugged Wrangler model that you can buy today. It comes with everything that the other two-door models don’t, and that includes the exterior components, the interior, as well as the off-road gear. It rides on 17-inch wheels, but can be had in different finishes. Unlike other models, the Wrangler Rubicon comes with 285/70 section off-road tires as standard. On the inside, the bucket seats are upholstered in leather and the center console is graced by an 8.4-inch touchscreen as standard.

A lot of things are different under the skin. The Rubicon comes with third-gen heavy-duty front and rear Dana 44 axles, Tru-Lok Front and Rear Axles, a 4:1 Rock-Trac heavy-duty full-time 4WD system, and a 4.10 rear axle ratio amongst other things. The 3.6-liter, V-6 is standard here as well, whereas the 2.0-liter, turbo diesel is available as optional. The 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is priced at $42,595 before options and the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon starts at $200 less.
