Chevy is Pushing the Colorado ZR2 AEV Concept into Production; Will Probably Call it the Colorado Bison
One of two Chevrolet Colorado concepts that were presented at the 2017 SEMA Auto Show is reportedly headed to production. That’s the word coming out of Off-road.com, which alluded to the Colorado ZR2 AEV as the concept that could be turned into a full-blown production model. Specific details have yet to be revealed, but if it’s true, the production version of the Colorado ZR2 AEV will probably carry the “ZR2 Bison” name.

2018 Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian SVP II
Introduced all the way back in 1978, the Mitsubishi L200 is now in its fifth-generation, having been redesigned most recently in 2015. Although anonymous in the U.S. beyond the Ram models based on it back in the 1980s, the L200 is a popular truck in emerging markets from Asia and posts good sales in some European markets too. The current L200 is also the basis of the Fiat Fullback, Italy’s first big truck in years. The L200’s increasing success in Europe prompted Mitsubishi to create a limited-edition version through its Special Vehicle Project (SVP) division.
Based on the Barbarian Double Cab trim and dubbed SVP II, this limited-edition truck builds on the success of the first SVP version, launched in 2017. Much like its predecessor, it gains extra standard features in the tech department, but it also stands out from the crowd thanks to special color schemes with striking accents. The bad news, beyond the fact that the L200 is not available in the United States, is that the SVP II can’t be purchased outside the United Kingdom. Chevrolet Teases 2020 Silverado HD, Debut Set in the Fall Of This Year
The Chevy Silverado has been a hot topic lately. The 2019 Silverado 1500 was unveiled in January at the Detroit Auto Show. Now, it’s the 2020 Silverado HD’s turn in the spotlight. It’s not scheduled to make its debut until the fall of this year, but Chevrolet is getting a head-start on the teasing game with the first official image of the heavy-duty pickup.

The Kia Sedona is a decent minivan – there’s no doubt about that. But, Kia’s idea of updating the Sedona is nothing short of laughable. First, Kia did update the front fascia to be more in line with its current lineup, but outside of that, the only good thing that comes outside aside from new wheels are redesigned exterior lights. If you want LED headlamps you need to pony up for the higher trim levels while you have to jump up to the EX if you want the new power sliding door button. Outside of a new instrument cluster inside, the interior only sees updates on the options list while under the metal there’s a new transmission that’s supposed to be more efficient.
The Mercedes S-Class is regarded by some as the Pinnacle of all luxury Saloons. It’s got the style, luxury, technology (and the price tag) to find itself in the hands of those who refuse to settle for anything but the absolute best. Technology is a big part of this, and the S-Class has plenty of it, making even something as simple as a seat complex and beyond functional. With the most recent facelift of the S-Class, Mercedes took technology to a whole new level, and the seats got their own dose of upgraded technological goodness, leaving some to wonder just what the hell is beneath the skin.

General Motors first launched the GMC Sierra back in 1998, following it up with the upscale Denali trim level a few years later. Now, the latest 2019 model year is bringing with it a generational changeover, debuting in a live event in Detroit and broadcast on the Internet. Previewed in the range-topping Denali and SLT trim levels, the latest Sierra gets a variety of cool new features and technologies, including improved utility for the light-duty half-ton with a MultiPro tailgate and carbon fiber bed, plus new styling to help it stand out a bit more from its mechanically identical cousin, the Chevrolet Silverado.

SsangYong Musso Pickup Comes to Attack European Market
SsangYong isn’t typically the kind of automaker that makes a splash at an event like the Geneva Motor Show. But don’t tell that to the Korean automaker because not only is it in attendance in Geneva, it also brought with it a new pickup that’s looking to take a bite out of the European pickup market. The model is called the Musso, the same name the automaker uses on its affordable SUV. The new Musso pickup is a vehicle of its own, though, and its bringing loads of features on the table.
Every now and then an automaker really steps it up and comes up with something that shakes the very foundation of the automotive market. And, that’s exactly what GMC has done with the tailgate and bed of the new, 2019 GMC Sierra. GMC Teases the 2019 GMC Sierra Taillights and Side Profile
GMC has given one last tease before officially debuting its all-new 2019 Sierra 1500 pickup on March 1. The darkened images show the headlight and taillight profiles, with not much else to see. GMC was smart enough to thwart efforts in Photoshop to lighten the images; there’s just no data in the shadows.
Nevertheless, we can see the taillights have a modern appearance, yet one familiar to GMC. The C-shaped LED lights appear to be housed in clear lenses, similar to the taillights found on the current Sierra, Canyon, and Yukon models.
Aside from the taillights, we know the GMC Sierra will share the same underpinning, drivetrain components, and interior design as its corporate twin, the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The truck will have a stronger frame, updated suspension parts, and use GM’s new high-tech Dynamic Fuel Management technology. DFM allows both the 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V-8s to individually control cylinder firing operations depending on engine loads. During light loads like coasting down a hill, the engine is capable of running on a single cylinder. When power is needed, the DFM system provides fuel and spark to all eight cylinders. GM’s new 10-speed automatic transmission will be present, too.
GMC will likely debut the Sierra’s entire lineup, from the bare-bones WT to the range-topping Denali trim. The Denali has been a veritable gold mine for GMC over the last 10 years, so we fully expect much hubbub to be made over the trim line.
After its March 1 debut, the 2019 Sierra will go on sale toward the end of summer in 2018. Expect pricing to increase slightly over the current model.
GMC Teases the 2019 GMC Sierra; Debut Imminent!
General Motors is on the cusp of debuting its all-new 2019 GMC Sierra half-ton pickup. The automaker tweeted a darkened teaser photo on Monday, February 26 – just days ahead of the March 1 debut.
The image shows the emboldened red GMC logo flanked by C-shaped LED daytime running lights that encapsulate the truck’s LED headlights. Beyond that, it’s impossible to tell what GMC has up its sleeve – that is, until its twin brother is taken into consideration, the all-new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
Still, the new generation of GM trucks will look much less identical than in years past. Spy shots have shown the fenders and taillights are unique to each truck, though the dashboards and interior layout won’t have such separation. Aside from trim pieces, badges, and GMC’s IntelliLink rather than Chevy’s MyLink infotainment systems, the two trucks will have nearly identical cabins. GMC will likely have the swankier range-topping version, though, thanks to the ever-popular Denali trim.
Powertrain options will be the same, including heavily updated versions of the 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V-8s, along with GM’s new 3.0-liter inline-six turbodiesel. The 10-speed automatic is expected to be standard across the board. GM is apparently dropping the 4.3-liter V-6.
While pricing is still a highly guarded secret among GMC’s bean counters, tradition says the Sierra will be slightly more expensive than the Silverado. GMC has always been marketed as a slightly more upscale version of the Chevy.

Nissan Officially Teases Terra SUV Ahead of Beijing Debut
Nissan is expanding its lineup of body-on-frame vehicles as part of its “M.O.V.E to 2022” initiative to increase its frame-based sales by 40 percent by 2022. A major cog in the overall plan is this, the Nissan Terra. It’s a seven-passenger SUV based on the Navara pickup truck. In fact, the Terra is expected to share almost all its components from the Navara, including its frame and drivetrain. It is already clear the cabin and overall design theme is mirrored between the truck and SUV.
The 2018 Terra will make its official debut at the 2018 Beijing Motor Show in April, along with most of its details. Expect price and fuel economy to come later. Sales will begin in China this spring, with other Asian markets following soon after, including Australia.

How We’d Spec It: 2019 Ram 1500
Ram has made a massive splash in the half-ton pickup segment with its all-new 2019 Ram 1500. It debuted at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show in January and is expected to arrive in showrooms by the end of the first quarter. That’s an impressively quick turn-around time as this processes normally takes six months to a year with most vehicles. Nevertheless, we’re restless to get our hands on the pickup.
In the meantime, we’re left dreaming of the ideal build configuration for an average American. Modern pickups offer literally thousands of possible cab, bed, engine, and trim combinations. Here, we’re shooting for that middle-class family who might tow a small boat to the lake on the weekends, haul sports equipment in the bed, and carry those 2.5 kids to their various extracurricular actives – all while staying within a reasonable budget.

Visual Comparison: 2018 BMW X4 vs 2018 Mercedes GLC Coupe
BMW has high hopes for the X4 now that the new coupe-crossover has been unveiled. The new midsize model will now be tasked to compete against a bevy of rivals in its segment, none more important than the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Coupe. An endless amount of debates should ensue now that both models are here. Which one performs better? Which one handles better? Ford Ranger Raptor Could be US-Bound but Will Drop the Diesel Drivetrain
The Ford Ranger is coming to the U.S. That’s good news for a lot of people who have been clamoring for a smaller pickup to complement the much larger F-150. But there’s the potential for better news on the horizon with the potential of a Ranger Raptor hitting the scene.
