Ferrari Special Projects (SP) first made headlines with the release of the SP1, which was based on an F430 and designed by Leonardo Fioravanti — former Pininfarina designer. The next came in 2009 with the release of the P540 Superfast Aperta, a 599 GTB Fiorano-based, Carrozzeria Fantuzzi-designed model for Edward Watson, and the projects have continued through 2014 with the SP-FFX. Following the reveal of the SP-FFX, we caught a mysterious Prancing Horse peeking out from under a car cover that looked like it was going to be yet another SP creation. More recently, the model showed itself when Carscoops.com received another photo of the mysterious Ferrari completely uncovered. Reportedly named the Ferrari SP America and based on the F12berlinetta, the one-off supercar appears to be completed and is now headed to the loving arms of its new owner.
