Yes, Mansory has a subtle side. Known for audacious widebody kits, flashy wheels, and in general a lot of distasteful tuning jobs, the tuner shows that it indeed has a down-to-Earth side that manages not to ruin a supercar’s well-balanced stock appearance.

The 812 Superfast Softkit is not Mansory’s first stab at the super-fast Ferrari Superfast. That would be the so-called Stallone program, which is also available in black. But that’s another story for another time.

Now, for the first time ever in the tuner’s history, it manages to surprise us with, well, subtleness. Fret not, there’s still a lot of the Mansory flair we are used to - including the generous use of carbon fiber - but, you know, less kitschy. Here’s what the Softkit will add to the factory-spec 812 Superfast:

-* two carbon fiber spoiler add-ons (with side winglets)

-* front splitter/grille ornament

-* front air outtakes

-* rear bumper extensions (around the exhaust pipes)

-* rear diffuser (with LED, Formula 1-style brake lights)

The car pictured here also features Mansory wheels, but the brochure doesn’t mention them as part of the Softkit.

Mansory can provide these bits and bobs with a matte coating on request. There’s no word on interior upgrades, so we guess Mansory won’t tweak stuff inside the cabin - not that that Ferrari 812 Superfast needs further improvements in this area. Prices haven’t been made public at the time of writing.

Are there any changes in performance?

No, this treatment is of the cosmetic ilk only.

As it is, the 2020 Ferrari 812 Superfast packs a 6.5-liter gasoline-fed, naturally-aspirated V-12 that cranks out 788 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 529 pound-feet (718 Newton-meters) of torque at 7,000 rpm.

Power goes to the rear axle via a seven-speed, dual-clutch auto-shift transmission and an electronic rear differential (E-Diff3) adopted from Formula 1. According to Ferrari, 0-100 kph (62 mph) takes 2.9 seconds while top speed is 340+ kph (over 211 mph).
