Sometimes having the loudest, craziest-looking, most exclusive cars is not enough. When you want your car to stand out you go to a company like Mansory. The Munich-based luxury and supercar tuner is not afraid to enhance the aesthetics of even the most exclusive and expensive cars. Since the company’s inception in 1989, its portfolio has been featuring some very impressive projects. This one, the Ferrari 812 GTS Stallone, is their latest creation. Here’s what you need to know.

Drivetrain & Performance

When we talk about Mansory, we usually talk about aesthetics. However, they’ve also touched the performance of the Italian super GT.

This means that the Stallone has 31 horsepower (23 kW) and 16 pound-feet (22 Nm) more than a standard Ferrari 812. This translates into a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 216 mph (345 km/h).

Reports indicate that, at Ferrari, an even crazier version of the car is being “cooked”. Mansory’s 812 GTS Stallone foreshadows what might be the Swan song of Ferrari’s front-engine, normally-aspirated V-12 cars.

Styling

This is Mansory we are talking about, so naturally, we have to talk about the aesthetics. The 812 GTS, on which this is based, is already a bit overstyled, according to some. Mansory’s makeover is certainly not easy on the eyes, but they’ve managed to apply their style to the Italian supercar in just the right way. The new body kit is a lot to take in, but it has made the 812 even more aggressive, giving it extra vents throughout the whole body.

The front end retains all the air inlets, but they now have a more aggressive styling, giving the car a more menacing and apocalyptic look. On the side, once again, we have additional vents where the Ferrari shield used to be. It’s complemented by new lightweight wheels finished in black and a more aggressive side skirt. Going to the rear, the most notable feature is the big carbon-fiber wing that looks like it came straight off a GT3 racecar. The whole package is finished with a very aggressive rear diffuser, flanked by additional carbon-fiber elements on each side. The rear bumper now also features air extractors, very reminiscing of those on the Ferrari F40.

Mansory definitely isn’t a name that’s loved by the purists, but their bold approach has definitely given us some very distinctive and unique vehicles. When it comes to visual enhancements, the Ferrari 812 is one of the most difficult cars to redesign, without ruining it. Although the appearance of the 812 GTS Stallone is a subjective matter, it manages to retain the character of the Italian Super GT, while representing Mansory’s over-the-top style. The Ferrari 812 might very well be the last of the front-engine normally-aspirated V-12 cars and unless Ferrari decides to make their own crazier version, this one might end up being the ultimate.
