2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo
The 2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo is an entry-level supercar that the Maranello-based company launched in 2019. The F8 Tributo replaced the 488 GTB, introduced in 2015, but it’s essentially a mid-cycle upgrade and not a brand-new car. The supercar replaces the 488 GTB in the same way that the 812 Superfast and GTC4Lusso replaced the F12berlinetta and FF, respectively, with the facelift accompanied by a nameplate change.
The upgrade is rather significant as far as design goes. Not only sporting new features front and rear, but the F8 Tributo also boasts more aggressive aerodynamics, which are based on the track-ready 488 Pista. The F8 also shares underpinnings with the Pista and generates the same 710 horsepower. The F8 Tributo arrives just in time for the facelifted Lamborghini Huracan Evo and the relatively new McLaren 720S. Let’s find out how they compare.

2019 Ferrari 488 Pista Spider
The Ferrari 488 Pista Spider joined the 488 lineup at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance as a replacement for the 458 Speciale Aperta. The Ferrari 488 Pista replaced the iconic 458 Speciale, and it’s the first of its kind to hide a turbocharged engine under the hood.
Just when we thought that Ferrari settled for the Aperta name for its convertible sports car, Maranello returned to using the old Spider badge. But this is arguably a small issue here, as the Pista Aperta is just as exciting as its coupe sibling, but with extra headroom when the top is removed. The 50th drop-top model built by Ferrari since 1947, the Pista Spider made its global debut in the United States, where convertible sports cars are more popular than everywhere else in the world. 2020 Ferrari F8 Spider
The Ferrari F8 Spider is the convertible version of the F8 Tributo. It replaces the outgoing Ferrari 488 Spider in the lineup and just like its coupe counterpart, it features technology and underpinnings from the track-bred 488 Pista. While not as dynamic as the 488 Pista Spider, it’s a solid improvement over the 488 Spider. The F8 Spider joins a prestigious bloodline of drop-top V-8 sports cars that begun with the iconic 308 GTS back in 1977.
Ferrari’s most powerful V-8 convertible alongside the 488 Pista Spider, the F8 Spider arrives just in time to compete with the Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder. It also goes against the McLaren 720S Spider, yet another fine example of the high-performance sports car market. 2020 Ferrari 812 GTS
The Ferrari 812 GTS is the convertible version of the 812 Superfast, the grand tourer that replaced the F12berlinetta in 2017. Ferrari’s range-topping drop-top as of 2019, the 812 GTS is also the company’s first production, front-engined, V-12 convertible since 1969. After 20 years of limited edition grand tourers with infinite headroom, Ferrari finally caved in a build a production-ready, drop-top grand tourer.
Besides the "GTS" badge and the minor changes above the waistline, this drop-top is pretty much identical to the 812 Superfast. It has the same 6.5-liter V-12 engine under the hood and comes with almost 800 horsepower on tap. It needs less than three seconds to hit 60 mph from a standing start and tops out at more than 200 mph. All told, it’s one of the most potent grand tourers on the market and a turning point for Ferrari, which just released its first full-production convertible GT in 50 years. 2004 - 2011 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
In 2003, the Ferrari 456 was discontinued after 11 years in production. The grand tourer, which had been updated to 456M specs in 1998, was then replaced by the 612 Scaglietti. Designed by Ken Okuyama and Frank Stephenson, the 612 Scaglietti was bigger than the 456, and thus it was a true four-seater rather than a 2+2 GT like its predecessor. Named in honor of Sergio Scaglietti, who designed many Ferraris in the 1950s, including the 250 Testa Rossa, the 612 also pays homage to the 375 MM that company director Roberto Rossellini had commissioned for his wife, Ingrid Bergman, in 1954.
Unlike its forerunner, the 612 was an all-aluminum vehicle and the second following the 360 Modena. Developed with Alcoa, the space frame was later used in the 599 GTB. The GT also came with a redesigned engine. While the 456 used a 5.5-liter V-12, the 612 received the larger mill from the 575 Superamerica. While the "612" badge suggests a 6.0-liter engine, the displacement was actually 5.7 liters. Produced at the Carrozzeria Scaglietti plant, the 612 was taken to Maranello to have its interior and V-12 put in. A total of 3025 cars were produced until 2011 when the 612 was replaced by the FF. 2018 Ferrari SP38
Introduced in 2015 as a replacement for the 458 Italia, the Ferrari 488 GTB is already an iconic supercar. It already spawned a topless, Spider version, as well as a replacement for the 458 Speciale, called the 488 Pista. Racing duties go to the 488 GTE and 488 GT3 for the most coveted classes in the FIA-governed championships. Much like its predecessor, it was also used for a custom limited-edition model, called the J50 and built in just ten units to celebrate 50 years since the Italian brand arrived in Japan. Come 2018 and Ferrari rolled off yet another bespoke model. It’s called the SP38, and only one will ever see the light of day.
Developed by company’s One-Off program, the SP38 was designed by the Ferrari Design Center on the chassis and running gear of the 488 GTB. It was unveiled at Ferrari’s Fiorano test track, where it was handed over to one of the company’s most dedicated customers. The new supercar will be on public display for the first time at the 2018 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este before it will find its way in a heated garage. Needless to say, the SP38 is the most intriguing version of the 488 GTB yet, and it will probably become a highly sought-after collectible in a few years.

2018 Ferrari 488 Pista
Ferrari has developed a fairly predictable pattern when it comes to releasing mid-engine V-8 models. First, we get the "regular" one, and then the lighter, faster, more powerful road-racer variant follows. In 2015, Ferrari replaced the iconic 458 Italia with the turbocharged, 488 GTB. Three years later and the successor to the 458 Speciale is here with more power, less weight, and improved aerodynamics. It’s called the 488 Pista, and it’s set to make its global debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The successor to Ferrari’s much acclaimed, V-8-engined special series, which includes the 360 Challenge Stradale, 430 Scuderia, and the 458 Speciale, the 488 Pista is yet another homage to Ferrari’s outstanding heritage in motorsport. Much like its predecessors, the Pista was also developed using knowledge from the company’s involvement in the FIA World Endurance Championship, in which it has won five manufacturers’ titles. Both the race-spec 488 GTE and 488 Challenge served as inspiration for the Pista, also "donating" some of their dynamics and aerodynamic developments.

2017 Ferrari 488 Spider Heartthrob
Mere days after the one-off Ferrari 488 Spider “Green Jewel” fetched a whopping $1.3 million at RM Sotheby’s Leggenda e Passione sale in Fiorano, Italy, Ferrari took to the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show to present its latest anniversary showpiece. Once again, it’s based on the 488 Spider, only this time, it’s rocking a blue body, a red interior, and a different nickname: Heartthrob.
The one-off supercar officially goes by the name Ferrari 488 Spider Heartthrob and was created to pay tribute to the 1954 Ferrari 500 Mondial Spider PF, one of only 14 open-top models designed and built by Pininfarina. Its place in Ferrari lore is cemented by the fact that its owner, Dominican racer and noted playboy Porfirio Rubirosa, drove it in just one international race, here it placed eighth overall and second in its class. That car sported a blue exterior and wore the number 235. Hardly a surprise then that the 488 Spider Heartthrob is wearing the same finish with the same number on its doors. It also gets a red leather interior, which is another nod to the classic Ferrari racer. Given the precedence of auctioning off these one-off 70th anniversary Ferraris, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll see the Heartthrob get a price tag. Instead, it could follow in the “Green Jewel’s” footsteps and find its way into an auction setting sooner than later. If that one-off went for $1.3 million, care to guess how much the Heartthrob will go for? Safe to say that a seven-figure estimate may be a little conservative at this point.

2017 Ferrari 488 Spider 4XX Siracusa by Mansory
There are tuners who are best known for their visual stylings while there are others who are recognized for the power upgrades they offer. Then there’s a tuner like Mansory, which blends all of these elements together to create programs like the one it gave to the new Ferrari 488 Spider. The kit itself is called “4XX Siracusa,” and those who routinely follow the aftermarket tuning scene will know that Mansory has used this name before, previously on the Ferrari 458 Italia back in 2011 and most recently on the Ferrari 488 GTB. Now it’s the 488 Spider’s turn and, as expected, there’s a lot going on here, including power gains that elevate the car’s output to within 800 horsepower.
In a lot of ways, this is to be expected considering that this is Mansory we’re talking about. The German tuner has routinely prepared some of the most polarizing programs in the business. For the most part, Mansory’s offerings are hit or miss, but whether we like them or not, there’s no denying that they’re all worth talking about, for better or worse.
Take this 4XX Siracusa kit for the 488 Spider as an example. Technically, the upgrades themselves are similar to the ones the 488 GTB received last year, right down to the split rear spoiler. But there is difference in how the upgrades react to the body style of the supercar, which is why we’re here to talk about it.
No matter which side of the fence you’re on regarding Mansory, the tuner always incites discussion, which in itself makes it worth talking about. This new Siracusa program for the Ferrari 488 Spider is a pretty good example of that.

2018 Ferrari 812 Superfast
Introduced in 2012 as a replacement for the Ferrari 599, the F12berlinetta harkens back to the 365 GTB/4 "Daytona" and, in many ways, to the iconic 250 GTO and 275 GTB. A full-fledged grand tourer powered by a no-nonsense, naturally aspirated V-12, the F12berlinetta has already spawned many one-off and special-edition models, including the F12 TRS, SP America, F60 America, Carrozzeria Touring Berlinetta Lusso, and more recently the F12tdf. After some five years on the market, the F12 received its mid-cycle facelift ahead of the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. It goes by the name 812 Superfast and comes with many improvements.
Just like the transition from the FF to the GTC4Lusso, the F12berlinetta gained a significant update and a name change. Ferrari didn’t care to explain the meaning behind the new name, but it’s safe to assume that the "812" comes from the engine’s output in PS plus the number of cylinders, while Superfast is just... well... an attempt to be cool in the 21st century. This isn’t the first time a Ferrari appears to have been named by the company’s social media department, as the LaFerrari is just as flamboyant. But it’s worth mentioning that the 812 isn’t the first Superfast in the company’s lineup. The name dates back to 1964, when Ferrari offered the 500 Superfast as the top-of-the-line version of the America model.
Moving over to more important things, Ferrari gave the F12berlinetta a thorough restyling. The grand tourer sports numerous modifications front and rear, while the interior has updated tech, a few nips and tucks, and new seats. More importantly, the 6.3-liter V-12 was redesigned into a new mill that makes the 812 Superfast the quickest and most powerful production Ferrari ever built.

2017 Ferrari GTC4Lusso T
Although it was launched for the 2016 model year, the Ferrari GTC4Lusso is actually a facelifted version of the FF that the Italian company introduced in 2011. Essentially a successor to the 612 Scaglietti, the FF/GTC4Lusso is the company’s sole full four-seat sports car and Ferrari’s only four-wheel-drive model to date. The FF was introduced with a 6.3-liter V-12, an engine that got a power bump when the car’s name was changed to the GTC4Lusso. At the 2016 Paris Motor Show, Ferrari unveiled a new, entry-level version of the four-seater, powered by a turbocharged, V-8 powerplant.
The arrival of the GTC4Lusso T is by no means surprising. Rumors of a V-8-powered variant surfaced long before the FF was updated and renamed the GTC4Lusso. As the "T" in the name suggests, motivation comes from the same 3.9-liter V-8 available in other turbocharged models, making the GTC4Lusso the third Ferrari to benefit from forced induction. Also, it is the first full four-seat Ferrari with a turbocharged V-8 and the first "Prancing Horse" to be available with a choice of two engines. Also, because the GTC4Lusso T is a rear-wheel-drive model only, it makes it the first Ferrari nameplate to offer RWD alongside the AWD setup.
Set to hit the road alongside the California T and 488 GTB, Ferrari’s other turbocharged model, the GTC4Lusso T is part of the company’s recent plans to improve fuel economy and reduce CO2 emissions across its lineup.

2016 Ferrari 488 GTB 4XX Siracusa By Mansory
Every year at the Geneva Motor Show, some of the biggest aftermarket tuning firms troop to the event to showcase their latest wares. It’s a lot different than what people expect from automakers, because as tuners, their business is geared towards improving what automakers have done and make certain cars look better, drive faster, or in some cases, a combination of both.
Mansory is considered one of the best in the business, or at least one of the most influential tuners in the world. Every year, it goes to Geneva to unveil some of its new projects and this year will be no different. One of its new creations is this one, the 4XX Siracusa that’s based off of the Ferrari 488 GTB.
Like it? Don’t like it? Don’t worry, those are common reactions when it comes to these guys. The thing you have to realize with a tuner like Mansory is that the aggressive way it creates its programs often leads to polarizing reactions. Some people don’t like how edgy Mansory is with its kits, whereas others love the tuner’s willingness to be bold and provocative.
Either way, that reputation has served the Mansory well and that’s why it has no problem presenting a kit like the 4XX Siracusa at the world’s biggest auto show, where as has become a routine, the program will be one of the most talked-about cars in the showroom floor.

2016 Ferrari GTC4Lusso
Ferrari’s first AWD model, the Ferrari FF, was launched back in 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show. It was essentially a successor to the 612 Scaglietti and, outside of being AWD, it also strayed away from Ferrari’s traditional coupe styling. With its shooting-brake-like design and foldable seats, the FF offered 28 cubic feet of cargo room, while still packing a V-12 engine with impressive performance numbers – something you just don’t see from exotics of this caliber.
Even with its unusual design, the FF turned out to be pretty successful, and was set for a facelift that would debut for the 2016 model year. Since the announcement of the FF’s upcoming facelift, we’ve seen the spy shots and heard all the rumors. Just a couple months ago, we even created a rendering depicting what the facelift might bring to the table. For what it’s worth, our rendering really wasn’t that far off, but Ferrari had a big surprise in store for us to go along with the long-awaited redesign.
Along with the release of official photos ahead of the car’s debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, Ferrari also announced that the Ferrari FF is no more. Yes, you read that right, the redesign also comes with a new name. Say goodbye to the FF and say hello to the Ferrari GTC4Lusso. There are some other sweet surprises to go with the name change as well, so join me as I take an in-depth look at the new GTC4Lusso on the inside and out.

Since the unveiling of the LaFerrari and F12berlinetta, the 458 Italia has become a little outdated, so to speak. Sure, it still holds plenty of value in the market, but it just feels dated now. Well, at the 2013 Frankfurt International Motor Show in September, Ferrari plans to debut a concept that it based on the 458 to not only bring the model back into light, but to also showcase future technology for the automaker.
Dubbed the Ferrari 458 Speciale, this model takes the impressive performance credentials that the 458 Italia already features and cranks the dial way up. A nice and healthy boost in output partners up with active aerodynamics and traction modifications to make this the most capable Ferrari road car to grace a track or street.
